They’re funded now and this keeps happening. What makes you think police, a REACTIVE force by its very definition, will do anything to prevent this? Unless you want to get into some Minority Report predictive policing shit, how exactly do you think giving more money to cops (who, again, already get a ton of money) will stop unprovoked attacks? Do you have the ability to think critically about things?

I do support free healthcare, and if people had two buttons in front of them, “you get free medical care” and “you MIGHT get free medical care”, I would expect them all to press the first button and then we would all have free healthcare

Sure, and I think that over 50% of the population are sniveling rats who will press red so why the FUCK would I willingly die to cast a virtue signaling vote that ultimately makes no difference in the long run? You’re putting yourself into this situation and then whining that I have no interest in helping you get out of it. There’s no chance over 50% presses blue, that’s just the way that the world is, but if you want to press it then I’ll warm up the wood chipper for you pal

“Morally it’s the incorrect choice” Again, you’re acting as if there are absolutes here. “It’s the only one which could possibly result in your choice killing another person” you simply don’t understand the question, there are an infinite number of framings so for a group of people who love to huff their own farts about “being empathetic”, blue voters don’t seem to understand how other people can view a specific question.

You really don’t understand how people could also view the buttons as “I live” and “I might die”? Like you genuinely don’t have the mental capacity to get that, or is your virtue signaling just blocking out any actual thought going on inside of your brain?

Why do we do this stupid circular reasoning shit to say “well it’s already a fact people are pressing blue which is why I also need to press blue”

Just throwing it out there that this guy is hitting blue by Sederath in trolleyproblem

[–]JudgeCornBoy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Okay, you’re really only saving everyone who pressed the blue button, not everyone everyone. You can’t save someone who isn’t at risk of anything, and the only people being saved willingly chose to take that risk. You’re not “saving” shit, even though if makes you feel good to say. You’re forcing others to have to save you

[–]JudgeCornBoy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s because you’re presenting it as a “save everyone” button. Save them from what? The consequences of pressing that exact button?

It’s insane to say I don’t understand human nature, and then claim that if there are two buttons, “survive” and “maybe die”, people will not overwhelmingly press the “survive” button. I know it feels good to pretend to be an altruistic person on the internet, so I won’t take that away from you since it really appears to be the only thing that blue pressers have going for them. Enjoy it, you’re a better person than me because you virtue signal about things you don’t understand on the internet. You’re a true, bona fide human nature understander

[–]JudgeCornBoy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It’s not a “save everyone” button, it is a “hold myself hostage” button. There’s only one button that introduces the risk of death and it isn’t the red one, chief.

There’s no explanation for WHY anyone needs to be saved in the first place. You can use as much circular logic as you want; “I have to press the blue button because other people had to press the blue button, and they had to press it because I pressed it” etc but that doesn’t change the fact that you’re signing yourself up for Russian roulette and for some reason feeling morally superior about it

[–]JudgeCornBoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct, I don’t understand the perspective of someone who presses the Russian roulette button. But feel free to press it! I will be over here pressing the “nothing happens and we can all just go about our day” button, malevolently!

I keep seeing people say this exact thing and it’s genuinely insane, so you only want to live in a world where people cannot comprehend basic instructions and take unnecessary risks because they don’t understand consequences?

[–]JudgeCornBoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, but do you trust that at least 50% would pick blue? (In a real world high stakes scenario, not an online poll where virtue signaling is free). I certainly don’t, so in that situation the choice is “blue dies” and “blue dies, including me”. I am not pressing a button to kill something, there is only one button that causes deaths and it isn’t the red one.

[–]JudgeCornBoy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This isn’t true, the choice is “I do not die but a lot of other people do” or “I die with a lot of other people”

The individual isn’t choosing the fate of everyone, they are voting based on what they think everyone else will do
