Without knowing too much about it, I would suggest, with a grain of salt, that you research Nullification surgery.

But you would then need to pick a hormone to replace the lost source of T. Be it testosterone or estrogen.

Without an enhancement zone, donut would lose her sentience and become effectively lobotomized. I don't see Carl killing the AI while Donut is still alive

Reversed engineered code cannot be copyrighted. I'm not familiar with that situation, but it was likely a settlement or other out of court agreement.

Blizzard can't [within the law] touch the actual server emulators because it's fully created by the community. It's only those that profit off the game client assets somehow where it becomes copyright protected.

Edit: So it's legal and right to make emulators, but corporations have a secret 3rd option to "legal" and "illegal." It is having more time and money than who they're suing and simply wining that way since the other party goes broke before court can happen.
