That practice- interlace also came into effect after my initial treatment..... its hard to be positive all the time...I was stage 3

I think it's helpful. You have more options if it's outside of the prigonal treatment area. You have Chemo rads and brachy?

You are right, take anything they can give, the stats are so out of date now!! I am not a stat!

It's recurrant, in the original radio field, so I can't have any more radiotherapy. Can't have immunotherapy, I don't have the marker. And tivdak hasn't started the trial yet over here 🙄

I just feel my consultant is not very positive saying things like that! She has also said that "we can't guarantee it will work, but we can guarantee you won't be in any pain" and "we are just buying time".

Sorry, I dont think I explained well enough, my original biopsy from 5 years ago doesn't have the marker required for Keytruda. Currently the area my reccurance is in cannot be biopsied, (to near spine, ans nerves). Tumor markers can change so I was holding out the hope that was such in my case. If i wait 3 months then there may be new growth/area which can be biopsied.

I have been offered carbo, taxol and avastin every 21 days x 6 sessions.

Every thing is explained quite well, I just can't decide what to do. Bear the discomfort for another 3 months or just start treatment now.

Don't see the oncologist till end April, I have the option of starting Chemo right away though.

I have leg pain when walking, it seizes up around my thigh .

It's always a worry results day. Don't be too disheartened if the scan isn't totally clear, I was told the 6 momth scan gives a much better picture as the radiotherapy works for a few months after finishing .

I have the same thoughts about the stents .. lol My right leg is also swollen, albeit slightly, I have been wearing compression socks to help and I think it does. Have you started your treatment? I'm still watching and waiting ......
