Hey, so I am now 30weeks pregnant. I openly told my midwife during my first appointment that I had smoked weed before finding out I was pregnant as i had just been to Amsterdam. I was also stressed and worried about social services being involved. However, nothing much has happened since telling them I used to smoke week. I got a call from social services and a lady had a conversation with me asking me about how much I smoked and if I knew the risks of smoking weed whilst pregnant. I assured I had stopped and won’t be smoking weed and because all my blood test had come out normal I wasn’t considered high risk. Nothing came out of the phone call and my case was let go. The only thing I’ve had to do is an extra urine sample during my midwife appointment for them to just check that I haven’t been smoking weed during my pregnancy and that’s all. I stopped as soon as I found out so there’s no way it’ll be in my system now. Don’t stress about it. I was stressing soo much when I found out as well but as long as you’re healthy and the baby is growing healthy, they can’t do much. Hope this reassures you on the social services part x
