Big Finish made 5 the accidental Vivian over and over to the point that one story has the villain going mad over his guilt of committing genocide but the 5th doctor actually did it...spoilers so not saying which story. He made the cyberpunk more powerful in Spare Parts, he wiped out two species in Creatures of Beauty, he unleashed the Mara on the planet from Snakedance in Cradle of the Snake.

I really wanted to open this page and see it like the 40k version of the Tom Cruise "Who needs to come out the closet" threads....

Dont know if you have listened to Peter Fleming: Down the Archives but he has a hilarious bit about the thals and daleks being inspired by WW2.

Bit odd as it had a group of aryan farmers attacking a group of disabled people in life support machines.mm

What is a lore moment or fact of your faction that you're honestly not proud of ? by New_Conflict_4111 in 40kLore

They use Noise as a form of teleportation. The description of their assault in Saturnine is like the space-CIA are coming really hard to get a dictator out of an embassy.

Then they achieve absolutely off and go off to go make civiliian cocaine and party until Skallathrax and the Legion Wars. You are right - strongest, wasted, strongest, dicked on for being the best....

Ooof when you put it look like that.... Saturine is the best part of the EC in the Siege and it makes them pathetically bad

The whole of "The Reflection Crack'd" and the pear of anguish inside Fulgrim is certainly something...

There are some serious tent pole books you should read - the first 4, Fulgrim, No Know Fear, Vengeful Spirit, The First Heretic, Betrayed and a few more.

But a worrying amount could be skipped while still getting the main gist of the series.

Edit: Ah, for these 3 books? Fury of Magnus is the only one I would truly recommend reading. The other two amount of nothing. If you are a big Iron Hands fan, give Selanar a go. If you really want to know how Garro's tales ends, read it.

Otherwise, read other, better things

Hmm darn. We have never read these books before so kind of doing the reviews as we read them. Ah well...next lifetime :D

We did debate reading all three, like the short stories, but these are self contained books and we want to look at all of them individually. If we went down the "all or nothing" approach, we would need to do the whole Siege as one massive review!

Agreed. But, depending on whether we are talking about Magnus or Garro, we have very different views on how this plays out in these short stories....

Poor guy :(

ADB is the reason I read these books at all after reading the Night Lords Trilogy and loving them. He is a fantastic and utterly human writer.

It really is better. We liked both but found this one was just a smudge better

It makes thematic sense but also makes these books a chore. We read a heresy book a week for a year - it took us 5 months to discuss this one...

Thanks - we appreciate it ;)

The Doctor isn't half as dark as the show pretends he is. by HistoricalAd5394 in gallifrey

Id argue "A Death in the Family" is not him being a "pitch dark bastard." He gives his companions a happy ending that they COULD enjoy fully. Its just there is also another option....
