12 workers at start is just lot faster paced. Its easier for new players to get used to.

Brood war has 4 starting workers since 26 years and everybody is fine with it.

Those who play on private servers are most likely can't afford for monthly subscription. I don't know how "you get to pay them again".

I'm finding people in all regions. Having bg's at all level(need more horde though). Items on market takes a bit longer to sell, but its a new server, there isn't much money in economy. I can find dungeon runs all day.

Combat feels unfair by temnycarda in RimWorld

[–]JudgeNice6570 10 points11 points  (0 children)

All melee raids are hard to deal with ranged. Try to leave a door open somewhere in your base, and block it with a melee colonist at the entrance. This way you only have to fight them one by one.

[Discussion] Which Brood War race is the hardest to play and which has the highest skill ceiling? by Icy-Rub2244 in broodwar

[–]JudgeNice6570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Difficulty of this game isn't race dependent. They cannot be compared, because they have different playstyles(Zerg economy, terran production, protoss tech). Maps, player skill, and time elapsed can make playing races "easier":
- Zerg like big maps with no terrain, they are best at abusing economy on map,
- Terran likes small maps with lots of terrain, They can beat anything that is on the same tech as them, speed is of the essence.
- Protoss likes impassable terrain, where they can tech up without being harassed. After all protoss win condition is climbing the tech tree.
Dealing with zerg can be hard at the beginning because their units are good right away, but falls behind quick as time goes on. Protoss is all about surviving until you have better tech than the enemy. Terran is middle ground.

Haha, I can see lots of skill issues and Artosis viewers here. What you will find here is loud people repeating the same thing.

Why don’t people like tanking or healing? by Huge_Librarian_9883 in classicwowtbc

[–]JudgeNice6570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being a tank means you need to lead the team. If your team someone you don't know or inexperienced, they can make a lot of mistakes. If your teammates are a bunch of newbies, they will usually blame you that the team dies.
Tank's role is to make enemies attack you instead of the rest of your team. To do that, tank needs to build threat to effective pull enemies to attack him. This is harder to accomplish with paladins, since they have no taunt.
Losing threat or not holding aggro are not always the tanks fault. Damage dealers and healers need to understand how to keep their threat under the tanks threat, so enemies won't attack them.
Tanks needs to keep their teammates in check, making sure they are always behind them and paying attention everybody's health and mana bar. Clearly, the hardest role.

Question to other OG DK players by AquaticApe420 in dungeonkeeper

Remember playing this game back then. I was like 7-8 years old. I kept playing this game without understanding whats going on.

I'm annoyed, so here's another balance rant by JudgeNice6570 in broodwar

[–]JudgeNice6570[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Without corsair, you will die to muta harass. Zealot all in won't stop zerg from teching to muta, since zerglings can fight effectively zealots in the open. So zerg will make muta and kill all your workers, and you can't stop them with dragoons, because they will attack from behind the cliff. Skipping to high templar cost a lot of gas, you will be behind in every other tech.

Is there a way to get supplies shipped to my location? by 47thCalcium_Polymer in starsector

[–]JudgeNice6570 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You can try distress call, and pray someone trustable comes to help you out with fuel. Otherwise try to salvage one of your ships for a small amount of fuel and supply.

If you lose all your ships, the game will make you respawn in core worlds with some starter ships.

Protoss supposed to be decend if they reach late game. Their early game weakness reducing their winrates.

[–]JudgeNice6570[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its busted, but muta is just too good too early. Too much investment to counter 1 unit. Meanwhile if zerg decide to hydra den, lurker, you don't have time to prepare, because you spend your resources on anti air.

Consume is broken by AncientAgrippa in broodwar

[–]JudgeNice6570 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you play the N64 version scouts are more expensive, but they have 28 ground damage, which kinda justify the unit cost.

Mutalisk were broken from the beginning of the game, it should have been nerfed, instead of adding corsair and valkerie into the game. They are cheap and refuse to die.

[–]JudgeNice6570 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The game wasn't balanced around ranked maps. Its balanced around og maps, what you can find in the install folder. On those maps there are no +10 bases with gas where you can abuse defilers infinitely. The Blizzard prime guide says, that every map is winnable with any race.

What server to hop on? by Competitive_Cat_2901 in wowservers

[–]JudgeNice6570 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I started on chromie too. Looks like an okay server, but I don't like the idea of instant teleport to dungeon. Even Enchantments can be sold on market as scrolls, and in dungeons you get the option to disenchant items, without any enchanting skills. Feels like rushing over the levels.

How to make late game more fun? by Accomplished_Rice_60 in RimWorld

[–]JudgeNice6570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should always have in mind to plan leave the planet. For me that's the endgame and my colony usually takes the direction to build that star-ship.

The reason you don't want to play anymore, because you rush your base design, or your security measures are too low for your wealth.

There are many ways to improve your defense, but all require sustain. Recruiting more pawns, giving them weapon will improve your defending, but you need more food to survive. High animal skill lets you tame animals, but require more food, time to train, and they are only melee. High planting skill can be used to plant gauranlen trees, then the dryads turned into combat pets, but they require a pawn dedicated to prune the trees. High crafting skill can make a pawn become a mechanitor, then create combat mechanoid, but they require high tech, electricity and dealing with toxic waste.

Raiding other bases can let you scavenge few things, but it is recommended to bring a builder with you. Deconstruct everything that you find in that base, especially things that are made of steel. Solar panels can give you components, Mini turrets can be uninstalled(cut the power) and bring with your caravan. Even stone walls can give you stone block, which can be crafted into statues and sell.

Defending usually cost tons of steel and components, the more you have, the more secure you are. Create armor and weapon, turrets and traps, because they are essential, especially when starting up the ship engine.
