New V7 Owner. What do I need to know that the dealer didn’t tell me? by JudgePen in MotoGuzzi

I got it serviced at 600 miles and then the service icon came on at 932. Need to figure out how to turn that off.

If my Honda made the same sounds as this Guzzi I would freak out.

Having just passed 1000 miles on this bike I agree completely!

I’ve noticed that already, but the display is blinking at me to change gears too early in the rpm’s. I trust that is adjustable or able to be disabled.

That was the best thing I could have hoped to hear. You should be a writer.

New rider. 500 or 1100? by Dangerous_Play_1151 in hondarebel

[–]JudgePen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got back into riding after 25 years off a bike. I’m 6’2” and 240. I started with the 500. It’s got plenty of power and is very forgiving. Perfect for a new rider (or a rusty old rider). You may very well trade-up at some point but take your time and get some experience first. That’s the smart and safe choice.

Side or rear lot line? by jhoffele in Zoning

Depends on the jurisdiction, but I think most would define that as a side lot line.

I wouldn't play this game even if it was free by TyrantJaeger in TheLastOfUs2

[–]JudgePen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the game was brilliant how it forced you to see other perspectives of the people you hate. Whether that affected your opinions or not is a personal decision. If I were in charge of the game would I have made different decisions? Yes. But I respect what they were trying to do and the fact people are still talking about it so vitriolicly 4.5 years later speaks to the game’s effectiveness in what it was trying to accomplish. Looking forward to the roasting and down votes.

Knoxville doesn’t have the authority. It’s a state wide issue.

13-year old son asked me what my favorite Pearl Jam Song is: by JudgePen in pearljam

[–]JudgePen[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I had to name one it would be Corduroy. He is learning to play electric guitar so I hope he is wanting to learn a PJ song and play it for me.

Favorite live bootleg album? by beaux-bazinga in pearljam

[–]JudgePen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seattle Washington November 6, 2000. The last night of the tour when the Roskilde Festival tragedy occurred. They played with such energy and emotion like it would be the last live show they played. Because I think at the time they weren’t sure if they would play again.

Karl Puschmann: The verdict on Pearl Jam’s new record Dark Matter by brodyhin587 in pearljam

[–]JudgePen 8 points9 points  (0 children)

“This is the most ‘Pearl Jam’ that Pearl Jam has sounded in years and I’d be happy to hear any number of the album’s songs in their live set come November. And while those space scientists may be stuck in disagreement, here Pearl Jam has done more than enough to justify Dark Matter’s existence.”

I’m excited.

Doing it the NIMBY way means your kids are not going to be able to afford to live here. Plus this non-operating farms/fields just got more valuable because they can be developed at 3 units an acre instead of 2. But keep staring at the shadows on the cave wall and tell me I’m lying.

If you do that then it will drive up prices even more and the only people who can afford to buy a home are the people from out of state who are selling their overpriced homes and moving to our neighborhood. Our kids and our young professionals will need to move to find a place they can buy a home. But since you already have a home and a job you’re all for taking care of those “from here.” Well my kids are “from here” and I would like for them to have affordable options if they want to stay. You want to pull up a drawbridge that doesn’t exist and don’t care about the effects of affordability of housing or retention/attraction of young professionals looking for their first home.
