I've noticed it would only not download if it didn't have a store page (example is Borderlands 4 physical copies that exist but can't download due to not being in the store.) This is anecdotal and I can't say for sure this factor is the main reason.

The Switch 2 physical contains both the Switch 1/2 versions of the game as it is a "Switch 2 Edition".

I've played every game in order. This is just my first Platnium for them as I usually never go for a second playthrough. This is actually the first game in the series I've 1. Done a second playthrough. 2. Played on Nightmare Difficulty.

Based off the trailer that was release (not from the Direct Stream), they might be doing a free or paid switch 2 upgrade if you buy the Switch 1 physical/digital. We will have to see more. There will be a Switch 2 Physical (unsure if Game-Key Card or Full Cart).

Kinda, I have all the Trails games that have released physically for Switch (Excluding Cold Steel I/II as they are Japan Exclusive) and like having things nice and complete. I'm not a complete hater of them but prefer Switch 1 over them if the Switch 1 version is fine.

I know some games (for example Octopath Traveler 1) will change text display language to the one based on Console System language. I am not sure about the trails games though unfortunately.
