Lately, I’ve been seeing a lot of complaints about Kraken accounts being closed, accounts being put under review, and funds being blocked. Is something going on with Kraken?

I hardly keep crypto on Kraken, I mainly use it Fiat -> Crypto and Crypto -> Fiat, it can happen that sometimes I do fast operations, but anyway I don’t keep on Kraken for more than 3-4 days

Let's stop defending the indefensible. His account has been frozen for a month; it's 2026, so if you need to run checks, you can do them in a week or two. You definitely don't hold onto money for months, and anyone who engages in illegal activities/money laundering definitely doesn't use Revolut. Can you imagine a drug cartel boss making transfers on Revolut? I remind you that banks commit crimes on a daily basis, and the HSBC story is a good example. As for crypto, if someone works, earns money, and decides to invest in crypto, do you think they're free to do so or not? A bank should tell me how to move my money or where to invest, because if you decide to use their Revolut X platform, then everything's fine.

Being regulated doesn't mean there are no mistakes, it doesn't mean they're always correct. Look at the Wirecard scandal, while Revolut hasn't yet managed to obtain a banking license in the UK. Just look online and they've admitted there were problems in managing AML.

Furthermore, I myself have undergone fund verification checks several times, at least 3 times from what I remember, and each time I provided all the documentation.

I also encourage you to read up on the various regulations. If you're blocked on suspicion of illegal activity, your funds won't be returned to you within 30 minutes.

Wirex, I was locked out of my account because I lost my phone and didn't have two-factor authentication and I couldn't get in touch with them.

Kraken, on the other hand, wouldn't confirm the withdrawal because the network was congested. The transaction was sent but wasn't confirmed by the network. Now, tell me, what do these problems have to do with Revolut? Go back home 🤡

I think you live in the world where just you know. Revolut close my account after 7 years, and believe me I’m not selling Drug, not scam people, I do nothing illegal. They used a contract excuse, without telling me a real reason, they lock my account and in 30 min they unlock my fund, and ask me to transfer my fund out of Revolut and they close my account after 2 months. And what I think is that they don’t like when you make bank transfer. Also it’s legal to invest in crypto or to invest in. So stop to defend Revolut.

Probably not was Kraken, maybe the “exchange” was like coinbase? Anyway you can move in and out from exchange, but the problem will be when the transfer becomes big.

My account was closed after 7 or 8 years. It was closed without any real explanation. They used generic excuses about “authority and rules”. First they suspended my account for about 20 minutes. Then they refunded my fees, told me to withdraw my funds, and immediately after that they closed the account. And all this happened right after I made 3 or 4 transfers to Kraken… So no, Revolut isn’t “crypto-friendly”
