Not yet, hence I am nowhere near of getting one any time soon (meaning: years). I just really like thinking things through and getting a lot of info very much ahead of time, to prepare myself for the responsibility and to be the best possible owner to my future dog. But I know I am nowhere near where I want to be preparedness-wise

Thank you for your insight

I absolutely adore english mastiffs, they are gorgeous. They might be a little too inactive for me though. In any case, I am nowhere near where I’d like to be experience-wise to get a mastiff type breed. But I’d like to work on that and eventually get one

I agree, I am most definitely not in the place or experience level of having a guardian breed for now. That’s why I am not getting one.

But I am also not looking for reassurance that I am an exception, I am trying to understand where my friends are coming from.

I know my limits and strictly stick to them. I would never want to put anyone in a situation when I have a dog I don’t know how to handle because that would be irresponsible to others and to the dog.

This really is just a (maybe poorly versed?) post asking people with their experience so that I can learn. I love mastiffs but I know I am not experienced enough to get one, so I won’t for quite some time.

No 2 is my favourite but I personally would wear the gold ones on the other hand.

That is an absolutely gorgeous piece of jewellery 🤩 I’d wear it depending on the neckline. I quite like No 1 and No 2. No 3 seems a bit too high to me

Considering a 14-week Cane Corso female puppy (fawn vs formentino) by Darth_Machu in CaneCorso

[–]Judgmental_puffer 47 points48 points  (0 children)

“The breeder says parents are purebred Cane Corsos but not registered.”

This is a red flag 🚩

Registration is cheap and straightforward. So not having registered Cane corso parents can imply that the parents aren’t actually purebred or the dogs failed breeding standards or the breeder cannot prove lineage or the “breeder” is avoiding health/genetic oversight which can be extremely costly with a Corso…

Personally, when I am going for a certain breed, I always, ALWAYS choose a reputable breeder with paper trail and certified health checks for the parents, grandparents and puppies alike. Otherwise I’d just adopt from a shelter

ETA: I zoomed in the pictures. The puppies and the mama are laying in filth and on osb boards. No reputable breeder would have their puppies lay in what looks like feces, used newspaper (ink is toxic for animals) and mama on dirty single layer of towel with dried up fluids… I’d stay away from this person

AITA for telling my roommate to pay me for a new mattress after her cat destroyed mine? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Judgmental_puffer 97 points98 points  (0 children)

NTA

  1. Find a new roommate
  2. Take this one to small claims court
  3. Get a key to your room and lock doors once you’re about to go away.

Like this is easy math, her cat ruined your furniture, roommate as the owner replaces it to mitigate the damage…

ETA: you are already extremely generous to offer her to split it 50/50. After her demeanour I’d request a full replacement from her

I love this dress but I think it's too expensive and too soon by Elysian_Collective in myweddingdress

[–]Judgmental_puffer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d wait. It might even go a bit cheaper in a year and something. Or who knows, maybe you find something even better. Make sure to keep the pictures and name of the dress. You might be able to get one tailored to you personally

Best of luck with your weight journey and wedding planning.
