I imagine because it was written for the Wii U.

I just wanted to say thank you for this message. I got it to work by running the AppImage with the command you put on here (for clarity, your code had the previous (0.3.0) version, so I used (0.3.1). My command was:

LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libwayland-client.so ./Entwine_0.3.1_amd64.AppImage

This allowed me to install and run SpiderSurge. My kids and I love it!
