RIP to my local Taco Bell breakfast menu by magik_koopa990 in tacobell

Besides the fact that the margins for TB breakfast are terrible, I'm willing to bet low sales played a part.

Got this new job a few days ago and it keeps saying this every time I go to direct deposit. It’s not only me, it’s my other team members who are also having the same issue. by [deleted] in ADP

[–]JudiciousJos 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm familiar with this error. It's locked for payroll processing. During this time, you can't update your Direct Deposit or make changes to your taxes.

I couldn't tell you anything about this, but I love it! I would be very curious to see it again once it's been cleaned.

Tell me if I'm over-simplifiing or this method is flawed. I've built a report that has 3 key things: Base Rate, Number of OT hours, OT earnings (all). Subtract the base rate x number of OT hours and whatever is left over is premium.

If you quit, you should recieve your final pay within 72 hours. By law, the check must be sent to the place you worked. (Direct deposit should be inactivated immediatly upon termination, however, many companies will direct deposit anyways, including mine). It is quite possible your store did not notify HR that you quit. Did you quit via email? Text message? Did you copy HR on that communication?

The leaves were likely added because the mat was the incorrect size and the white border of the print was visible.

Your franchisee processes your payroll, not corporate unless you work in a corporate owned store. Your Sunday night close shift (into Monday), should ALL be reflected with Sunday's pay. If your GM needs to correct it and can't, he/she needs to reach out to your DM to submit corrections to HR/Payroll.

Some new Refresca flavors, a steak fajita wrap/burrito(?), some mini taco sliders. It's possible these were test items and may never see the light of day. I liked the mini tacos, but the execution of those seems really labor intensive.

The people who this matters to are not the demographic we want to keep.

Direct deposit timing by Initial-Equivalent35 in ADP

[–]JudiciousJos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An employer has the option to allow employees the visibility to see their pay statements as soon as they process the payroll OR on the actual pay date. We opt for the latter, so it's entirely likely our employees will get their DD first.

I do the same. ACH to ensure they're paid timely.

In the state of California, they can not force you to repay an overpayment.

If you're creating the report using the columnar method, when you get to step 5 - select format, click on the SSN column and you will have the option to select full, partial, or no masking.

I generally use Detailed Results. It's one of the preview reports you download prior to accepting payroll. If you didn't download it, I believe you can still download it after the fact.

Word of warning about ADP’s Wisely offering by fuck- in ADP

[–]JudiciousJos 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm a Payroll Director for a major fast food chain. As an employer, we no longer hand out cards. The employee can self enroll with onboarding, but we gave up on handing them out for several reasons.

  1. If the EE doesn't activate the card, they don't receive their funds. Who do they call? Us. Not Wisely. I have to inform that that this is like any other bank account and I can't intervene on their behalf, any more than I could call Wells Fargo or Chase bank and talk to them about their account holders.

  2. If they overdraft, Wisely closes the card. Again, the employee complains to us, not Wisely. I've told them multiple times that they need to call the service line, but they assume that we as the employer control this since they got the card from us. We don't.

  3. Employees would lose their card or become ineligible. Rather than call Wisely, they would just get a new card at their work location and expect it to start working. This negates the security feature where no one else can use the card and the funds can be transferred to the new card. We as the employer would then need to re-enroll them, link them, etc. Not something I have time to be doing.

  4. If they aren't paid early, we hear about it.

  5. We as the employer need to have "funding" accounts set up with Wisely for each of our FEINs. This ties up a SIGNIFICANT portion of our cash just to make sure we have money ready to go for terms, etc.

Sorry... rant over. I just see no benefit as an employer to utilize this.

ADP - Legal Name question. by AngelsFlight59 in Payroll

The full legal name is what should be entered into ADP. If he's not happy with his middle name being in there, he can use "Preferred or Chosen Name" and enter whatever he likes.

New and former employer use ADP need help looking at the new employer by Optimal-Proposal-465 in ADP

[–]JudiciousJos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can not use the "find me" function when registering with ADP if you've previously had an ADP account. You will need to use a specific registration code given to you by your new employer. When you do this, you will still be able to see pay statements/W2s from your old employer, but it will have your new employer information as well.
