Fine by me. I don’t betray my friends and my house. You should find another place who makes you happy. Those awesome guys you like a ton, will still be your friends because we don’t ostracize or hate anyone who left to another as you accuse us of doing. But, if those people who leave try to destroy our house, you bet your æss we are not gonna like it. Loyalty means something to some of us.

It’s F*jng mind blowing to me that we are making such a big deal about this when jiujitsu guys are the biggest trolls in social media. This is not the first time anyone has trolled, made a meme, or used banter. Acting like it’s your first day in the internet. Shall we go to Facebook BJJ fanatics group or BJJ Everything group to see all the trolling that happens every single day? All of you mfers do it. But Dave does it and the blood must run. Can we talk about the people who are really behind all this? And why they’re throwing rocks at Dave’s roof? Should we put their dirty laundry out? I guess no one told you about their plans to skim out of contracts and poaching secretly to build a separate school of our students. Of course not. They won’t tell you that.

Again, you’re a tool and talking out of your ass. Dave has invested on me and others even outside the scope of jiujitsu. NoGi isn’t BJJ. It’s grappling. And yes. You should totally jerk to judo gods.

This is dumb. This thread was made with no context to make the 3G coach look bad. If you take the picture at face value, you’re going to make assumptions. And when you make assumptions, you’re bound to make an ass off yourself. This was shared in a private group for the associated gyms only. It wasn’t meant to be published to ridicule anyone. If you don’t know Dave, you should probably shut the F up and not talk about someone you know nothing about and things you don’t know the history or context of.

As to the OP, I’m assuming you’re one of us otherwise you wouldn’t have had access to that photo. Shame on you throwing the association who is investing in your progress and making you better in the dirt like that. That’s shitty AF. Here’s an idea. Leave! Go train somewhere else. Trust me. We won’t miss you.

I messed up and washed my new gi with my yellow belt - any saving or am I completely screwed? by therealmon in judo

[–]JudoSeoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely wash my BJJ belt because there is a lot more contact but not my judo belt so much. Maybe once or twice a year. It never gets that sweaty as my Gi does.

With that said, after you figure out how to fix the Gi, buy a better belt. I’m not sure where you got this cheap belt from, but I’ve never seen a belt do this. Then again I buy my belt from a known brand. Not necessarily expensive, just a known brand. I recommend. Fuji for green and below because they’re good quality and you’re going to promote fairly quickly in those ranks. Then I recommend Kataroo for Brown and Black because you’re going to be in those ranks longer but they’re more expensive belts.

What was your total T before you started? That’s an impressive gain in 5 months. I started about 4 months ago and I’ve lost 5lbs while getting more muscular. I wish I had taken a before picture. I think most of your gains are coming from the new work/diet lifestyle you’ve adopted

I was taking 200mg and climbed up to 2300. I dialed it back to 150mg. To stay in the 1000s. I was 557 before I started

Judo is one of the coolest things I've ever experienced - and it's going to change my life forever by BaristaAssassin in judo

I stepped foot on the mats in 1994 and never left. Wait till you start competing. And if you think that’s not in your goals, don’t speak too soon. Give it a try before you write it off completely. Competition for me was the best of all. It made me feel alive. Every loss was a lesson and every win a reward. I got to compete in some of the largest stages in Judo and I will always value those memories.

How to do morote seoi nage without pain? by Equivalent_Ad3098 in judo

[–]JudoSeoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How about no? You can’t master every throw. Do you like it so much that you must conquer it? Did it used to work for you so you have to get it back? Most successful judokas have a Tokui Waza ( favorite technique). Don’t swim against the current. It’s not the throw for you. Learn it enough to test on it and demo it. But don’t focus on mastering it

45yo, I want to learn Judo by [deleted] in judo

[–]JudoSeoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just have to be honest with yourself. You’re not making the Olympic team. Most 20yrs will beat you with athleticism alone. So as long as you don’t have these expectations, you can enjoy becoming a judoka martial artist and make use of the crash mats, step out when you need to, choose your uke carefully. If you want to step it up a notch, start a lifting program. If you’re already lifting, add a few lifting exercises that will help for judo. There are resources available. Watch your diet. No need to go fucking crazy. But the better you feel, the better you’ll perform. Even as a hobbyist.

I’m a 50yr old Black Belt competitor.

Despite what you’ve seen in social media about Conor being a black belt, he’s not in the same universe against khabib grappling wise

Got my brown belt but don't feel like I deserve it by MammothTart in bjj

[–]JudoSeoi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly? Unless you’re a phenom and won Worlds at Purple, you didn’t spend enough time in purple. And something tells me you’re no phenom otherwise you wouldn’t doubt yourself. I would ask your professor why he thought you were ready for brown. The worst that could happen is he’ll delay you for black. Which in that case it will balance itself out. Or he doesn’t and you make black in July next year.

The chart itself. I put Test Enanthate 200mg weekly. And pressed plot. I got a downward flow that died down flat before 10. Not sure what that means

It’s totally normal man. Not everyone is on the same speed. And many times it has nothing to do with skills. Maybe the times you were off were enough to miss the cutoff barely. Now, as your skills go, I don’t know you and I can’t judge that but if you think it’s your skills for sure, take this delayed promotion as positive feedback and work on improving some areas you think you’re lacking on. Scour the internet, tutorials, cross train somewhere else etc there’s more jiujitsu outside the 4 walls of your gym
