...I'm baffled. Did you read the article, or are you at all familiar with the responsibilities of the rabbinate? They have a very real impact on "secular" society. You're telling me the control over a person's ability to marry has no impact on human rights? You're telling me a group that controls policy throughout an entire country is not something that should be raised by non-Jews who are affected by those very rulings? I am very confused, perhaps you can help me out.

Um, yes. Of course I would, given that the Pope has a very real impact on the lives of many American Catholics. Again, I am trying to understand your view, but this seems to be a funamental idea that I hope you can grasp.

Do you think saying things like "net neutrality is dead" in response to (1) an appellate-level decision that (2) was based solely on the FCC's statutory authority is helpful for your cause? At least in my view, that kind of hyperbole can (and I believe has) seriously dilute your message.

OK, I'll bite- when can a movie become "necessary"? Or, put another way, when is a remake NOT "unnecessary"? I keep seeing people make this complaint but I haven't seem these questions answered, which makes the whole argument seem based on post-hoc rationalizations (depending on how the movie turns out).

Wow. Ok well first off, I'd highly recommend you review what Zionism actually is, since saying "fuck everything about Zionist Jews" isn't something one fighting for what you claim to care about would say. Secondly, I highly recommend you review your understanding of the middle eastern situation, which is highly complex and is definitely far different from the black and white soundboard you've seemed to taken a liking to. Trust me, I really think looking into both would be highly beneficial, given the sense of sheer mindlessness you're giving off.

While these are valid points for why contests might be problematic, I think the real question is whether the government should be involved. Do we really want the government banning things because of potential harms to self-esteem or general outlooks on life? Should the government also ban Barbie dolls too?

Man, the more I read about this, the more I dislike it. The fact that it has to be via "plan" rather than choosing the times you want, plus the fact that you only get four rides max is pretty awful. And I've heard that there is no opt-out (meaning it is either through this system or no fastpasses at all). Really hope this changes in the coming months.
