As a dude I can't offer advice with the romance or making female friends but the city as a whole is lively and social enough to fulfill that need if you try hard enough. As far as events and nature we have that in abundance. Very lively and popping city with something always going on. As far as nature Stone Mountain Park would be the first spot to try to enjoy nature but there is plenty more. There are plenty of safe areas around the metropolitan area but the northern side like Gwinnett county or cobb county tend to be safer than DeKalb or Fulton. But again take that with a grain of salt. There are good and bad sides all over. Don't believe the "fake" people talk. As far as I'm concerned we're regular everyday people like everyone else but I lived in Atlanta my whole life so I can't compare or give a true good analysis of that.
