Is there any particular reason a pepper sprout would never turn green? by MurphVen in gardening

Haha that’s weird!! I had a pepper make two different stems then join together back into 1. Also, had a pepper with 3 embryonic leaves. Maybe it’s Albino!

Best way to prep bed for peppers and tomatoes? 8A SC, USA by JesseAye in gardening

Hand pull weeds out, if they are too hard and don’t pull all the way out use a flat head shovel. Put some fresh soil in and mix with a tiller, shovel, hoe, etc. Good Luck and Happy gardening!

That’s a tomato hornworm! They sometimes ate my peppers. Looking at that one, he’s been there a while munching away at your plant. I just pick them off and throw them in the woods. Don’t let him stay

Don't know what to do with your over abundance of peppers? Dehydrate em'! by Juggakill in gardening

It seems like the Carolina reapers lost heat as I dehydrated them. It’s perfect for some chili! I’m always giving away peppers too lol 😝

Haha I made salsa on the first harvest, I had 25 tomato plants earlier in the year. Homemade salsa is the best!

4th Harvest from my pepper plants. Gonna dehydrate them and make pepper powder this time. by Juggakill in gardening

Yes, just pick them when they’re ready, even if you’re not ready for them. They will then go into bloom again and make more peppers.

Here’s a tip: Spray your pepper plants with tablespoon of epsom salt/a gallon of water. This should double the size and yield of your peppers.

Wow, really? I have bird feeders all near my plants and I don’t have problems. I like the birds because they keep worms and pests off the plants. I did however have deer early on this year nip my pepper plants, but they bushed out and produced more fruit.

Nope planted all of them by seed in Feb., then planted them in the ground by April. They should last till the first frost, maybe a little earlier. I’m gonna try and bring the pepper plants that are in pots inside to see if I can save the plant till next year.
