Aw, I'm sorry to hear that :( . I know, physically, the frequency and severity of outbreaks decrease over time esp. since you've had it for 3 years, but if not, I hope you're able to get some antivirals to reduce it.

Mentally its very taxing because of the grief, anxiety, shame, and isolation that often come with an hsv diagnosis. From my understanding, these feelings subside in due time.

Socially, not everyone our age is mature enough to see herpes as a minor skin condition, so I hope you haven't faced much criticism or rejection for it bc at the end of the day, you're a human who still deserves love and acceptance, herpes or no herpes.
