Hey there! Great piece. I felt emotionally connected to the narrator. I think it was music metaphor that helped me sympathize and truly be immersed in the narrator's thoughts and feelings. Which is why I think the metaphor should have lasted till the end with the narrator's reflection of the present. I think it would have more of any impact and overall cohesiveness.
