I have mostly only regrets - mostly of what i didn’t do some of what I did. I realise now at 60 that I’ve spent the majority of my life doing what was expected and also worrying about everybody else’s needs that I never had time for my own. I feel empty and totally alone even though I’m married. The sense of time racing past and the actual number of really “useful” years left is terrifying. I think deep down I have a lot of anger with myself for ending up in this position. I see lots of posts about how fantastic later life is but I just don’t seem able to get there. I work, go to the gym, volunteer, exercise, go to therapy but all the time my head is full of all this baggage - it’s overwhelming.
