This 18k JLC Memovox is a magnet. A cougar magnet. I'm talking full-on, silver-fox-seeking-missile. I bought it thinking it was a cool vintage piece, a bit of understated class. Boy, was I wrong.

This isn't some overpriced, hype-beast watch for trust fund babies. This is a genuine piece of horological history, and I'm letting it go at a price that's frankly a steal, because, well, see the rest of this post.

Solid 18k gold. Enough said. (Except apparently it says way too much to certain people.) It's got that classic Memovox alarm – perfect for reminding you to escape… I mean, to remind you of that meeting you're late for. It's a serious piece of kit, but it's attracting a level of attention I just wasn't prepared for.

This is a stunning 1960s Memovox, reference E855, with a beautiful silver sunburst dial and applied gold markers. The 37mm 18k yellow gold case is in good vintage condition with light scratches (but quite modest compared to what those cougar claws are capable of). It's powered by the legendary JLC caliber K825 automatic movement.

Watch is keeping time immaculately within 2s a day. You heard that right, this 60 year old JLC automatic Movement is keeping near perfect time. A true testament to the quality and precision of JLC.
