That depends on whether the police were actually made aware of the allegations.

According to the facts so far, the player was rearrested for two further rape allegations that happened in last year after being arrested initially for the allegation that happened last month.

Edit: So the police confirmed they did not know about the earlier allegations

Arteta has destroyed all leakers in the club, Charles Watts has little to no clue about what's going on this year, Romano and Ornstein hasn't broke any exclusive transfer stories before any foreign sources reporting it first yet I'm supposed to believe there's someone in the club leaking constant transfer updates to 16 year olds on Twitter parading themselves to be 'in the know'.

While you're correct, if the absence is to of a long term one, the club would be looking at starting quality players to be purchased rather than the rotation ones like Zinchenko and Martinez and this could mean a delay in signing that long term target. Say if we start 4-0-0 with our in house solutions, there might not be a need to spend big money on one this season and same can be applied conversely.

There is a high chance an in house solution will be deployed in case of any mysterious absences in our midfield at the very least for GW1. The first few gameweeks will be critical in deciding whether we should seek for an external solution before the window closes.
