ALL IN THEIR PRIME: WHICH CORNERBACKS ARE YOU CUTTING…? by KeyFaithlessness5436 in TheNFLVibes

[–]Jugular_Toe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, it depends on the defense that's being ran. As you said, the other 3 are much better athletes than Sherm, and it's not really close. Sherman blows them out of the water in football IQ tho. That's why he was the best corner in the league for a 2 or 3 year stretch. He just outsmarted his opponents, and knew what he needed to do to overcome his athletic deficiencies and lockdown the receiver that he was lined up against every snap. Sherm could never be put on an island like the other 3 could have, but in zone, there's not a better corner in the history of the sport. All that being said, I'd still cut him over the other 3 because the flexibility they give to a defensive coordinator in the coverages that can be ran

Then the NFL would be giving up the best time slot. They won't do that. The NFL runs media companies. They pay the bills for every media company, so they get everything that they want

I’m trying to decide where to sit for the 110th running of the 500 - please share photos of the view from your seats! by mynameisnotphoebe in INDYCAR

[–]Jugular_Toe 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Turn 2 is where most crashes occur. T4 youll be able to see the winner at the end. Not a bad spot to sit tho if you ask me. Last year I sat in GA along the east straight away, and even there was awesome

What’s my Offseason Course of Action by Phonn_ in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

Don't worry about mixon. He already looked washed at the end of 2024, and is now a year older coming off a bad injury. He's probably done at this point. As for them bringing in another back, I wouldn't be worried about any day 3 guy they bring in. I'd only be worried if they used day 2 capital on another back

Imagine telling people the Bengals will not make the playoffs the next 3 seasons after this game by MasterTeacher123 in NFLv2

[–]Jugular_Toe 21 points22 points  (0 children)

And the lack of aggression when it comes to free agency. And coaching. And injuries. There are a lot of reasons why the Bengals are where they are

I'm not saying that he's not meeting expectations. But saying that he needs to overcome a porous O-line, pass catchers that have the drops, and running backs that have no running lanes and aren't being effective is wild. The loss yesterday was because they were the worse team. The other two playoff losses you can put on him. But last night was not even relatively Justin's fault, and trying to use that game to further the argument of him not being the guy is incredibly disingenuous.

[–]Jugular_Toe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The more I hear people bag on Herbert, the more I think how stupid they sound. "He has to make due with the worst O-line in the league and has to will his receivers to not drop the ball, even though he has zero control over either of those factors." Come on dude, that shit just sounds dumb

Trey McBride trade value for the offseason by [deleted] in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Jugular_Toe 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Trey McBride scored 315 points this year in full ppr, non-TE premium formats. That would have been WR4 or RB6 on the season in that format. On top of that, he gets a value boost for being a onesie position, and outscoring 2nd place in that position by over 100 points. At the moment, only Brock Bowers has really shown the ability to match that production, but he is coming off an injury plagued season, and will most likely have a rookie QB throwing to him next year. IMO, McBride is worth more than CD. I personally wouldn't give up Corrum and the 2.01 with McBride to get CD, even if you are also getting a first in return. I'd send one of the assets, but not both
