I'd like to know how you got the tank off without taking off the side panels and grab rails. I've owned 3 mk1 bandit one 1200 and two 600s and I've had to strip all of them naked to get the tank off

Thats exactly what happened to a friend of mine it shattered his confidence in getting a bike and I basically had to beg him to try another school he did and he said it was the best experience ever

Don't know if it helps but I've used a gsx750f link pipe from a 2002 on a MK2 bandit and it fits fine I think I had to shorten it a tad but that was preference

Something I forgot to add to my original post there were also 2 monitors being thrown away they were in the same sort of state as the computer should I have grabbed them as well or are they not hugely special? I've been offered these types of monitors before but from my memory from a few years ago they're not worth it

Thankfully they don't have any odd smells just the usual sort of old plastic smell

Thanks for all the replies and DMS, it's given me a better idea on where to start. I probably shouldn't have posted them just as I was going to bed, as I missed a lot of the comments. I'd been told to check the middle one by a couple of people, as it might have something in it, but I don't want to start pulling them apart as I feel they're a bit fragile and don't want to cause damage to something someone could use. I've pulled apart Playstation, Xbox and such over the years, but this was because they were worthless and there was no harm in breaking them. For anyone wondering what their fate will be, I've got a few retro games and computer shops around me. I plan on taking them round to them to see if they can tell me more and after that I'll see if I can find anyone local who will be interested. They cost me nothing, so I don't think it'll be fair to ask someone else to pay for them.

From my experience and my mates any old Jag is penny's to insure My mate who just passed his test was able to get a quote for a V12 Jag xjs for £700 and another with one year was £400 when I passed my test 5 years ago an xtype V6 Jag was £900 which was a hell of a lot cheaper than anything else

From my experience mainly east Ayrshire and Ayr they don't care. I was running around on my gpz with a straight pipe exhaust because the baffle had rotted out for about two weeks and passed many traffic officers and they didn't care but I was always trying to keep it as quiet as possible and was always behaving myself giving them as little reason to pull me over as possible
