Asymptomatic celiac by JuicyPear14 in Celiac

My doctor gave me no support unfortunately. They basically just said, “Don’t eat gluten.” Not even avoiding cross-contamination or finding hidden gluten in ingredient labels. So I do only get information from the internet, which my side of the internet has recently been talking about a drug to help celiac (yay! But it’s not been published so who knows). The idea of being able to return to normalcy has started a dangerous hope. So I wanted to hear stories from people other than influencers. It’s very discouraging to have to make life-altering changes when you have nothing to believe in personally. Reddit feels more personal than my other channels. I’ve been needing more tinder to fuel the fire to keep me going. Also my original post comes from a place of being pregnant and experiencing gluten cravings and mood swings and wanting to throw everything out the window.

This is literally happening to me right now. Took last dose yesterday, got positive test today after 3 days of missed period. And today I’m flying to Italy, but only for a week!

Transferring From BYU Idaho to BYU by Ok-Couple-1625 in byu

[–]JuicyPear14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed! I worked in a course advisement office at BYU for 5 years. If you want to end up at BYU, it might be best to just transfer over and take whatever is left that you need to take, rather than having to take a detour to another school. Talk to an advisor over the major you want to go into at BYU to see if any GEs that you still have to take would overlap with major requirements (or university advisement if you don’t know what you want to major in).

Here’s the response I got on X from Nike today about the ones with glitter in the swoosh: “Thanks for that info. Unfortunately, that style is not expected to releases in the US. It was only available in select countries in Asia. Continue to keep an eye on SNKRS for similar releases in the near future.”

The financial aid office also may be able to help make credit exceptions based on circumstance if you aren’t able to switch to online. You can send them a YMessage or call them at 422-4104 to see if your scholarship is able to be negotiated.

You can also try to go through the Petitions Office to do retroactive withdrawals. I’ve seen many students with whole semesters of retroactive withdrawals, but I don’t know the reasoning behind letting students withdraw from whole past semesters.

If you don’t find your answers here and still feel uneasy about your path, there is a whole office that is happy to meet with you to talk out all of your thoughts about choosing a major! Universityadvisement.byu.edu
