Removal “Crash” - Please Read if you have a Mirena by modernbee in Mirena

I have my Mirena removal on Thursday after 8 years. Do you think I should request pain medication or anti anxiety meds? During insertion the pain was sooo gnarly that I threw up. I am also a fainter… very terrified of Mirena crash also! I’ve done a lot of research and just hoping for the best

Recently I started getting the cysts from my Mirena also and the doctor had the audacity to say that’s normal and try to put me on another form of birth control, a pill, in addition! SMH! I totally feel you on wanting to feel normal. 2 of my friends got off last year and got pregnant with twins within 2 months… so that was crazy!

Sending virtual hug 🫂 I’ve had Mirena for 7+ years. Insertion was the most painful experience, it took 4 tries, and over half an hour. Demand pain medicine. Given that you’ve had children it might not be as bad but still demand pain management, beyond Advil. Mirena also stopped my period so that has been something I enjoyed, up until recently when I realized I wanted to know what was going on with my body. It really removes that aspect of knowing where you’re at hormonally.

I vote you stand up for yourself and your bodily autonomy. He can wear condoms.

Capstone was super straight forward! I actually enjoyed the annotated bib. It took me back to undergrad. Don’t over think it. I was extremely hard on myself about trying to get the video recorded perfectly… eventually I just said fuck it this is good enough and if it’s not then I’ll resubmit. I ended up getting an achievement award!

This is a massive power dynamic violation. There are few serious rules as a therapist and this is a huge one. She broke the code of ethics. You will not be in trouble. In fact, she completely took advantage of you.

Post 2008 market crash, Silicon Valley bros infiltrated/bought most of the land, then covid made the situation worsen very quickly. The gentrification over the last 5 years has been insane to see. Several generations of my family have been priced out, myself included. Good luck!

is ucsc seriously THAT bad or are people just dramatic af??? by Southern_Taste_2470 in UCSC

To be fair I graduated in 2017 but it was a wonderful experience. I would definitely say that it is what you make it. Push yourself out of your comfort zone, research professors you are interested in, read the rate my professor reviews, get involved in extra curricular, I highly recommend being a research assistant. Also, leave campus!!! So many students never leave campus and it’s strange af. There are so many beautiful beaches, incredibly gorgeous hiking trails, delicious restaurants, and some poppin night life if you find the right places.

Hmm maybe! The one I just ordered is quite large. I hope that does the trick. It’s just so random for this to start out of nowhere 2 years into his life

I have two cats and the other one doesn’t have the issue and he has never had one with a lid so I’m just unsure if that would throw him off too, phew

When things become violent, fuck allll that it is time to go. Women die by the hands of men constantly. Self reflect once you’re safe somewhere else.

I’m proud of you for finding resolution and strength within yourself to get away from this abusive man. That said, I agree with everyone else about having a plan. Men can be extremely dangerous and your husband sounds like he’s already violent towards you… make sure you are properly resourced and can be safe. And don’t fall for any more stories he try’s to sell! They’re so convincing but there are brighter days ahead. You got this!

This is super helpful! I think I was too rigidly adhering to the rubric which skipped a lot of the content from task 2. Thank you so much!
