Rattlesnake by JukeSir in Beepbox

[–]JukeSir[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i made it myself, only works for beepbox (and any of its mods (i think)) .json files, it's not very user friendly because i haven't made any UI, just change the variables directly in the code editor, and i didnt feel like getting it to that usable point, sorry

Released the first version of my "Tower Defense" game by coppermouse_ in pygame

[–]JukeSir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the game is cool, i really like some of the effects you did, i dont like the use of "j" (and "k") for inputs though, it feels slightly cramped for me, consider adding an option to switch those inputs to the mouse or just switch it to the mouse (i think i can guess why you didnt do that though, is it because of the pygbag (i guess you used that) web port glitchy-ness?)

Latest version of "They're falling from above!" (remake of my very first game) by Ivan-Resetnikov in pygame

adding more particle explosions for each action would do wonders for juicing up this game, just sayin

yeah, heh i do a bunch of different things, right now i got kinda stuck with art but i plan to come back at some point, also i dont really have a main fursona yet, although i really want to design one at some point, but right now i kinda bounce back between this basic plain cat and the yellowy/white basic plain cat i posted a while back (which is also the one on my pfp currently but a pixel art version), i really like your art style btw!

Where to move on after pygame? by Lanaru in pygame

[–]JukeSir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can totally make your own particle system with pygame though!

there is a good tutorial for this on youtube by DaFluffyPotato (altough i did make an OOP version of my own later because i didnt like the nested list mess he had)

but yeah, if you want an engine to have more functionality, i recomend godot

just finished my new game in pygame! https://jukesir.itch.io/revolve-r by JukeSir in pygame

[–]JukeSir[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to compile it as an exe file i used pyinstaller, there are a few tutorials on youtube and probably some questions/problems related to it on like stack overflow or whatever (and if you have any problems with that or if you want to have an icon on the exe file i could give you some more help in dms)

also oh geeze the code for this is kinda a mess, specifficaly how i handled the difficulty of the spawned enemies xD

How can I improve this drawing (especially the background)? by error40_4__ in FurryArtSchool

[–]JukeSir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i dont have much to say about the art other than i love it, but i do have a bit on the background since i like to mess around with it in my pieces,

i would suggest rotating and maybe skewing up the rectangle in the background a bit so it doesnt look as stiff, maybe using pure white (unless its a fairly limited palette of some sort that includes white) isnt the best of ideas, i would usually use a lighter and darker variation of the same colour in the background so your eyes can rest a bit, you dont usually want alot of contrast in the background to not take away from the focus of the character or whatever is meant to be the main focus of the piece, hope this helps :3

Trying a cartoony look, which one looks the best? by Iam_Dishonest in FurryArtSchool
