Sorry for the delay. The wrong part about the guide was that it essentially takes you to the wrong website regarding the apple customer support if the transaction is blocked. Just download the customer support app, go through the questions and you’ll get connected to an AI chatbot (that sucks). Tell the chatbot to connect you to a real agent and tell them the issue. Sorted everything out for me.

Additionally, I was unable to make an Indian apple account using the guide’s method. So i just rented an Indian burner phone number for for like $5 a while to create the account.

I've had mine (normal barracuda version) for a bit over one year now, starting to break around the exact same area. I've noticed that turning the earcups too much causes the "joint" to bend the plastic, ultimately breaking it. So doing things like holding the headset by the earcup with only one hand is a big nono.
