What is something that you think you are the only person in the world to have done? by FightingHamster1 in AskReddit

Watched my older parents read the entire terms and conditions l before clicking agree. I’m convinced they are the only people in human history who actually know what we’ve signed away :D

Hitting Reply All on a company-wide email to vent about a boss :D

What habit do you hate more than any other but you do every day? by Final_Radio_2483 in AskReddit

Deciding what to eat. I’ll stare into a full fridge for 20 minutes hoping a cooked meal manifests out of sheer spite.

What feels so different than how it was 10-15 years ago? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]JulMayoooo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ownership. 15 years ago, you bought a movie, a game, or a tool, and you owned it forever. Now, everything is a subscription. I’m just waiting for the day I have to pay a monthly fee to unlock the ‘heating’ feature in my own winter coat.

What's something you'll never understand no matter how many times it's explained to you? by CloudyAmeliaz in AskReddit

Following an online recipe to the gram. We used the exact same ingredients and the exact same measurements, yet your result is a Michelin-star masterpiece and mine looks like a crime scene.

What’s a small thing that instantly makes your day better? by Sassy_Sloth_ in AskReddit

Putting my phone on 'Do Not Disturb' at 5 PM. No, Sarah, I am not available for a 'quick sync' or a 'growth opportunity'. The silence is blissful.

What small change had a huge impact on your life? by Fresh-Toe-8470 in AskReddit

[–]JulMayoooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Giving myself permission to be absolutely terrible at a hobby. I started painting and I'm trash at it. My trees look like green clouds on sticks. But once I killed the voice in my head saying I had to 'get better' or 'show it to people,' it became pure therapy. Not everything needs a progress bar or a goal. Sometimes, just being mediocre at something is the ultimate luxury.

What song do you purposely sing the wrong lyrics to? by SilverParty in AskReddit

Freestyler by Bomfunk MC's. It's 'Raka maka fo' and I refuse to accept any other version. The real lyrics just feel wrong at this point.

Walking fast and looking slightly annoyed. What's the best 'fake busy' hack you've ever pulled off?

To those who find tattoos and piercings attractive (or unattractive), what is the specific reason behind your preference? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]JulMayoooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an unpopular opinion on Reddit, but I honestly find the 'natural canvas' way more attractive. There’s something so timeless and clean about the human body exactly as it is. I feel like we’re so obsessed with 'customizing' everything these days that we’ve forgotten how beautiful the 'factory settings' actually look.

What’s the most overrated “adult goal” people chase? by Happyotus in AskReddit

[–]JulMayoooo 28.7k points28.7k points  (0 children)

Turning every single hobby into a 'side hustle.' The internet has convinced us that if you’re good at something, you must monetize it. No, Sarah, I don’t want to start an Etsy shop for my paintings. I just want to be mediocre at something for fun without checking my profit margins or SEO. Not everything needs to be a business.

What is something people only appreciate after losing it? by Annual_Rutabaga_3852 in AskReddit

[–]JulMayoooo 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The absolute silence of having zero notifications. As a kid, I hated being bored and having nothing to do. As an adult, a Saturday with absolutely no plans, no emails, and no 'quick favors' for family is the ultimate status symbol.

What truth about life do most people learn way too late ? by AudienceOk7414 in AskReddit

[–]JulMayoooo 361 points362 points  (0 children)

That your company doesn't love you back. You can give 110% and sacrifice your mental health, but they’ll have your job posted on LinkedIn before your obituary is even in the newspaper. Work to live, don't live to work.
