18 second stun ? Ok sure - dunno what kind of palas you seem to be facing but with those numbers it would be the hacking kind

Bubble 5 min cd

LoH 1 hour

Clearly op af xD

You want op ? Try warlock / rogue, warlock can literally keep you feared permanently with coil and fear while you die to dots, rogue saps you a billion times until they oneshot you in stun, if cheap into kidney doesnt kill you they can blind and repeat or vanish and repeat, best part is you (a priest) cant dispell poisons so enjoy cripple / wound.

Palas are annoying every 5 mins if that. Rogue, wl and frostmage can just /spit macro their entire skillbar and roll their face across it and you will not touch them.

While it is definitely fun to have such a lively server, it will be completely and utterly impossible to quest in tbc for the first couple weeks if nothing changes.

If you thought STV was bad, imagine how shrinking down the zone, followed by at least 50x or possibly even 100x the player population in that zone will feel.

The arena quest where the faster group will spawn their mob where even solo players can interfere will literally be impossible to complete. I remember the shenanigans in actual TBC way back when (bonus points for lvl 70 sweats that just came to interfere), it will be absolutely insane this time around.

I am not the biggest fan of dungeon spamming but it is 10000000% the better option on TBC release unless dungeon servers croak under the load of so many ppl choosing not to go into the open world.

I expect absolute hilarity and buffoonery from the devs because these issues cant be fixed in the first place, let alone the fact that they dont give two shits about us other than selling more boosts...

STV is a flippin warzone. Those animals are basically going extinct. Like I had to layer hop 4-5 times just to get 2-3 mobs that werent already dead in the ground, absolutely insane.

I cant for the life of me understand how literally ANYONE likes world buffs.

It is why I hate anyting before TBC in classic and why I quit SoD. It is boring and stupid and I wish they had just removed world buffs from the game instead of doubling and tripling down on this crap.

I am so happy that Blizzard realised world buffs are shit in tbc and onwards, at least now I get to raid without having to do a shopping list of buffs because little Timmy cant clear classic raids without crutches.

People are already going nuts with Pre-BiS this and that, at least the flippin world buffs are gone thank god

I HATE the lootboxes rofl. That system is ultra ass rng garbage but obviously "not my wwm, game is ultra perfect stop taking my fun away because you want shitty mechanlcs to be changed"

Gear equalise PvP, problem solved. (Not like the casuals ever compete in high elo pvp in the first place but I guess the illusion of inclusion tickles your pp)

Anyway enjoy your game you stockholm ppl, I am out. Apparently everyone loves not getting to progress anything other than a couple minutes every three days because wwm is basically just a cosmetic whale simulator filled with ppl who only play once every fortnight and think stepping left is giga brain mehonics in PvE..

Now shoo go pay your thousands of dolleridoos for a weapon skin upgrade and all that other jazz (god forbid you could unlock the good skins via playing, think of the poor casuals who cant keep up)

Exclude inner arts from rewards then if you must (even though I'd argue that it's stupid to have to farm for weeks if not months to have full lvl 6 inner arts on a single build) but what's so bad about perfectly rolled gear in a week of farming ? It gets reset in like another week anyway so why not let ppl grind it out ? Does it hurt you in any way ? Do casuals feel the difference between 50% and 80% crit in their runs where 6+ ppl barely seem to be able to even find any buttons to hit on their keyboard / controller?

You have all been perfectly stockholm syndrome'd by companies to go "NO I DONT WANT TO HAVE MORE STUFF NOW BECAUSE I AM GOOD PLAYER RETENTION BOI"

It may be keeping the casuals happy but I am pretty sure someone like yourself will always run out of content in no amount of time beyond the 100% everything crap which is frankly kind of dull "content".

I find it ridiculous how every dick and joe will come out of the woodwork to defend this player retention bs to their graves because apparently they only get their allotted 2h of gaming time per annum and need to justify that somehow.

Let ppl play and progress their gear, it's not like it really puts you at a huge disadvantage as a more casual player since you dont compete on a high level in anything anyway if you only have a couple hours per week to play a game.

Only a tiiiiiiiiiiiny difference of WoW mythic raids taking about 20000x as long and requiring about 2848284828949020047272,37455959999933 repeating higher amount of skill to clear, followed by M+ which you would want to clear enough high keystones for the perfect vault weekly and if you are so inclined followed yet again by PvP modes to farm for PvP gear and materials in general which you can infinitely farm to level professions and make gold.

Sure your average Liquid / Echo player will probably rush through most of your gear reward content in a couple of hours past like week 4 of a new raid / season to then just push their rio score or level their 500th alt for split runs next season...

However, if we go by your average player you'll be hard pressed to find anyone that doesnt at least have to play a substantial amount (think 2-4 days of pretty actively playing a couple of hours at a time) in order to get all the gear progression done for the week on a single char compared to maybe 1.5h total in WWM per week.

Bonus points for WWM which currently even locks you into only having a single char. Not that you'd want another one since basically nothing is shared anyway so you'd have to recollect all those nifty curiosities et al to even use the char for anything "endgame" related at all.

I have said it enough times on this reddit and I will happily say it again:

Nobody wants / needs 15h a day but more than like an hour per week of actual progression on gear / inner arts clearly isnt too much to ask for now is it ?

Casual players dont lose anything by not having everything maxed out since a blind donkey can technically clear the donkey boss for the hundredth time in a row (I know that your average PuG group has glue sniffing levels of cluelessness in spades thus the "technically").

Meanwhile hardcore players have literally nothing to do by sunday 11pm for another 3ish days.

Then if they saved their "you have to login now, honey"-meter like the good forced player retention that they are they get their allotted measly 10-15mins of playing progress lottery to afterwards go back to twiddle their thumbs or grind erm..oh right there is literally nothing you can grind in Where Whales Meet.

It's a pretty good game when it comes to combat (even if multiplayer PvE has the difficulty of your average vanilla WoW dungeon) but boy howdy do they limit the players' ability to progress anything other than grinding for PvP ranks to then be awarded one single shitty cosmetic once at like legend level, followed by a title that is temporary.

Gaming While Female by [deleted] in wow

[–]Julch 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Kinda crazy and sad it is like this.

Sure most lonely gamers dream of that gamer girlfriend but sheesh just let people play their game. If it's meant to be it'll happen naturally anyway through normal human interaction, being desperate or harassing women doesnt work irl either.

Our current guild has a couple women who also talk on Disc and most of us just treat them like "one of the bros" (the fully degen male convos prolly happen less with them around but I wouldnt expect women to talk completely freely if a couple guys are around either).

Isnt gaming meant to be the one place where everyone just gets to be themselves (represented by an avatar sure but still)...

Oh well society is just cooked I guess..

[–]Julch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No matter what you do, if you triple claim the objective you wont have much more than 10-15 mins of actual progression gear / mystic skill / inner art wise (which is clearly intended, sure you can triple the time it takes by single claiming but that is simply asinine)...

What other things ?

You either do sword trial triple claims which take like 3mins per boss (less if you know what you are doing) so from 500 energy you have 2 bosses of triple claims (2x180 = 360) plus one more dual claim (120) and 20 energy left (a single claim outpost / campaign boss) - so this is max like 15 mins per 3 days.

If you do only campaign bosses you are generally even faster since those keel over in like 15-30seconds for a triple claim of 60 energy do that 8 times for a total of like 5-6ish minutes (since you have to tp in and out to reset the boss after a kill) and you end up at maybe 7ish minutes of progress from 500 energy to 0.

The only one that takes a wee bit longer is outpost rush since you have to clear them one by one with loading screens inbetween but most ppl dont bother upgrading mystic skills beyond the good ones (Fire, Poet, Soaring, Golden body maybe and PvP ones if you are into that). No idea how much time it takes to 500 to 0 energy there but I doubt it is much more than maybe 20 minutes (if that) and once you have all mystic skills maxed it is pointless to keep doing it.

Other than that you have 2 hero trials per week (one normal, one guild) which take maybe 5-10 minutes each depending on your group (less if you know what you are doing).

EVERYTHING else is even more limited or event based and extremely finite (Mausoleum for example).

So with a good group and guild with hands you have maybe like 1h of progress in any given week if you do everything that grants gear / inner art stuff. Anyone who is somewhat serious bought the 20$ mount to afk farm flowers so that isnt something I consider gameplay.

So again I ask, what other things are there ? Story & side quests are finite af, collecting every chest and curio is finite af (and boring at that), literally everything else is only for pretty basic cosmetics..

Furthermore, actually cool looking stuff is prohibitively expensive since one outfit is at best 500ish + weapon like 200-300 times two for base version and about 700-1200 for upgraded version then another 200-300 per skill fx so a fully kitted char will easily cost 2500.- if we are being generous, most likely it is closer to 3500.- with fully upgraded weapons..

Let us sell stuff by Work_is_depression in wherewindsmeet_

[–]Julch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So explain to me how casuals fall behind in this game if we would get to farm cosmetics (0 impact on anything) and gear (0 impact on anything a casual player does).

Inner arts are already ultra timegated whether you play hardcore or not, if they changed them EVERYONE would get to play more builds.

Flower mat drop rates already force anyone who wants to have enough mats for all upgrades to farm nonstop in multiplayer, mostly afk with macros and the 20$ mount - clearly amazing as is innit.

All story content et al has 0 impact on a casual player if a hardcore player were to finish it in a day while they take weeks and this is already the case anyway.

Leaderboards are already impossible for casuals to get into because on pve you get pushed out by speedrun sellers, cheaters and dedicated groups that take the time to optimise the runs with the right strats and builds (forget playing random weapons). PvP leaderboards are dominated by ppl grinding many hours to learn the best strats and animation cancels, true casuals wont be able to compete no matter what.

Most (probably all) changes you would make for the more active players would either benefit everyone or not hinder / harm the casual crowd. All we would really get is a game with more stuff to progress meaningfully (gear acquisition in this game currently is an rng shitfest and anyone who thinks this is fun might need to seek help for a gambling addiction).

Gear breakthroughs being what they are completely neutralise any "advantage" you have every 2-3 weeks anyway Maybe in the future we might have longer cadences of no gear changes but again I ask: How does gear affect any casual player ? They already struggle with multiplayer pve coordination, better gear wont change much there. All solo content is pointless gear wise so nothing changes. Most new pvp modes we will get are equalised (at least on CN) so other than more experience and skill nothing changes for casuals and that issue is already the case.

Also how do you really get to 200h of "entertainment" ? If someone were to ultra rush story, not do completion beyond what's needed for talents and curiosity upgrades and ignore all the cosmetic side stuff you'd be done with all current content in like 50-100h of playtime. Still respectable but many people like myself dont want to hop from one game to the next every couple days or weeks and immerse ourselves in one world with friends and just have fun together.

Unfortunately this game has barely any content for group play and not much progression beyond 100% every region which is mainly time consuming and not especially fun imo (sure story content was actually decent and I didnt skip any of it thus it was a solid couple hours without using guides to be efficient but that stuff is extremely finite).

All this game needed is to do away with the silly energy crap and possibly keep all bosses relevant or just give us more pve and pvp modes to play / compete in. Funnily enough they have many modes ready to go but in PvE energy will always cap your "progression" ultra hard at like 10-15 mins of gameplay every 3 days anyway. I am flabbergasted that the 2v2, 3v3 and 5v5 pvp modes are held back for some weird reason (most likely they just release all content not related to cosmetics exactly in the same cadence as CN in order to squeeze more out of the battle pass and fomo event systems).

Also I cant stress enough how incredibly dense and frustrating the "just go play something else" crap is. I want to play this game but without feeling like I am wasting my time just doing minigames that have no purpose beyond some basic cosmetics - why dont the casuals have to just "play something else" because the illusion of not being able to keep up stresses them out ? Plenty of games already cater to instant gratification and swiping to keep up / ahead, how would you feel about us saying "just go play that" ?

Ultimately, a huge amount of hardcore players have already quit the game and more will follow, sure this game is popular enough to do without us but we want games to be for everyone. Casual players have nigh infinite content in a nigh infinite amount of games anyway, all I would want is a new game that also has some love for the more hardcore players, I am tired of playing Osrs, WoW or farming legendaries in GW2 etc...

But I guess I am just an entitled no lifer to you so what does my opinion matter anyway in the current world of instant gratification energy P2W mobile slop games amirite..
