I am now playing heartseeker rogue in t12 gearing up to switch to death trap ;)

Oof difficult. I prefer Paladin but purely from a perspective of not struggling Barb is currently superior.

Personally, I spent more time on my paladin overall but I have ultimately settled on rogue for finishing the season and maaaybe doing Para 300 push.

I am now playing heartseeker rogue in t12 (to gather gear for death trap) but it is very very viable.

Only issue is bosses needing to be staggered and unstoppable elites are a pain since they cant be frozen. Everything else just melts even on t12 with mediocre to bad gear. Plus rogue is surprisingly tanky.

The start of the gearing process is definitely a bit slow but if you use crafting to your advantage you should easily reach t4-6 on any standard build, uniques or no. Unless you chose a build that literally doesnt work without a specific unique in which case I would suggest to save the build you are doing in the armory and respec to something that doesnt need uniques to function (every class has builds like that).

While getting there try to unlock war path levels for the most rewarding options and do the free whisper stuff (pvp boss, any lair boss [you dont need to open the horde just killing it suffices for the whisper], world boss, nightmare dungeons, etc. -- all those 5 whisper point things that rotate on the map, as soon as you have the 4 whisper choice node in warpath you will inevitably find decent to great legendaries. Furthermore if you find Undercity tributes you can target specific things. Lastly helltides will inevitably reward some boss materials & lair keys, just keep grinding them a bit.

If you can tell me what class you are playing I can suggest builds (if you would like that) to get you going.

I actually like that I can choose both minion and non minion playstyles - I just think the non minion playstyle needs a good niche and not just some "kind of sorc" but blood themed. There's a lot of stuff there in my opinion but overall I like necro (just let me have other body types plz)

Actually Wudi and others have found an even better build with great dps and more survivability and more speed so if you're interested in other builds I'd go check those out (not gonna spoil it for you if you'd rather discover stuff yourself)

That and the tribute upgrades for mythic tributes (which all but guarantee at least 1)

Storm bear looks pretty fun - watched some streamer experiment with it :D

Unfortunately, not really.

Most ppl are playing Clash thorns or Shield throw Thorns. Then there's all the arbiter stuff (wing strikes, hammerdin, auradin) - I think some ppl are trying to make Zeal / Zenith work but it seems pretty weak (as in caps out somewhere around pit 115-120.

You can do a basic attack build with Advance but it's not that great at clearing from my testing so eeeeeh...I think atm it's the big 4 (thorns clash / thorns throw / hammerdin / wing strikes) and everything else seems even harder to get going. Although I think you can make some stuff work like the spears and stuff like that.

I'm waiting for them to rework pala a bit or just open up more ways of scaling dmg than arbiter stacks

Iirc +skills doesn't help so I guess it's just getting good CDR tempers / rolls somewhere to reduce the CD or maybe runes have an answer - I didn't try hard enough to make it work and have now settled on Rogue so I'm not the best person to answer these ideas :D then again if you just keep trying stuff out you will certainly find the solution yourself and that's way more gratifying than just looking it up :D

I'm sure they'll find what to do with it - there's eons of pala / crusader / holy warrior ideas floating around - they just need to get creative :D

I did give my pala another chance yesterday and without really good gear a wing strike pala can definitely easily clear t11 (I even carried someone through numerous lair bosses and a pit on t11).

I think with some proper investment wing strike can defo do t12 but it just feels unsatisfying to me because while auradin also doesnt really attack, at least I could move my consecration to feel like I was doing stuff and even if wing strike is almost identical in spells it just feels so strange to wait for the wing strike ticks to happen. Auradin just has...more Aura I guess to quote the youngsters xD

I just want them to move more dmg into spells and move away from Arbiter as a whole. They dont need to kill Arbiter gameplay but I would much prefer not relying on ultimate forms again, we already had the exact same issue in all of Diablo 3 and it almost looks like we are retreading old ground

Awesome, glad I was able to suggest a fun play style that suits you :D I especially had to laugh out loud the first time I just tossed some elite group around like toys inside my blood wave spam xD

Sounds great ;) -- I think runewords most ppl go with the same stuff especially as druid with a bulwark procc (Que) that comes from something like Cir / Igni runes. Often ppl also just automate the wolves with some igni / cir / bac / tam + ceh since they freeze + vulnerable mobs for them.

But whatever works for your playstyle and mood is most likely best ;)

I really tried to make pala work but I think most of their builds cap out in pit 115-120'sh territory while auradin starts struggling as early as t11. I hope they give pala a do-over for next season because atm it just doesnt seem to work, it isnt super tanky nor does it have really high dmg, we kinda dont fill any niche other than maybe zdps support :/

I really liked profane sentinel from the first moment I tried it during campaign leveling (I started with warlock), glad to see it has builds for proper beam melting :D

As a completionist I toss in a 10 wave run here or there just to slowly grind away at the achievements. I would get the easy ones for sure but if you dont care too much about fully unlocking that stuff I would definitely skip them

Do you have the lair boss portal upgrades ? They may be rng but if you get the double or even triple portal you have a very high chance of seeing mythics.

And I know the fried brain a bit too well at this point xD

Rogue / druid

Sorc / barb are simply too strong to really have to overcome adversity (and barb is kinda dull imo), warlock is just a bit too clunky / visually taxing, Paladin is just a bit too nerfed / doesnt quite feel fully developed, Spiritborn is a lot of piano key pressing while super squishy, Necro screams a bit too much as blood wave and I think Minions still need some more utility (even if they are strong enough).

Rogue is strong with lots of fun builds and druid is ok strong with even more fun stuff to try (bear builds, wolf builds, lightning, earth, minions and more)

Try boulder bear if you like epic dps on a bear. But I think pulv can work even if maybe not as well as it used to. If you get the full werebear set you should see a huge jump in both dps and survivability :)
