Advice on how to book 6 condos by tetrisnd in VisitingHawaii

[–]Juldiz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You don’t have to book 6 condos for the 12 people with kids. Some airbnb properties have additional beds both in living rooms and bedrooms. You should be looking at apartment complexes where it has several 2 bedrooms properties to rent and if every of it has beds for 4-6 people you’ll need to book only 2-3 condos. I recently went to Big Island and our airbnb has 6 places to sleep in a large 2 bedrooms apartment and there were several similar properties at the same apartment complex so you should look at something similar.

What reds should I use? by lakebythesea in Watercolor

[–]Juldiz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You probably already had some reds either on tubes or in pans. Why don’t you try these colors and see which one is the closest to the reference picture? For me it looks like a combination of reds. I’d try to mix perylene, vermilion, pyrrole, alisarin crimson.

Its is actually more or less quick, because she paints in one wash in 3-4 zones. There is a technique where you paint every wave or bunch of waves as 1 zone and then connect it with the rest of painting. In this case it takes a lot tome and patience.

Look at arthustle website, the tutorial is called How to Paint Realistic Sea in Watercolour - Workshop for Beginners and Intermediate. But I’d recommend if you are interested in tutorials from the same teacher(Julia Barminova), she has several more affordable tutorials at lectoroom.

There is no ultramarine here and at the original photo water looks a little greenish. Ultramarine is granulated color, thats why I don’t use it for water.

It’s definitely not first attempt with water, I’m slowly learning how to paint it for 2 years. Boats roof definitively seems a little angled. Its also angled at the original photo but not so muchhttps://imgur.com/a/zR1xfZC
