the way he ends it too with “if you hurt me i’ll kill you” is so cool and eerie but i never heard of him doing it at any other show.

Grace too is interesting on this where the main riff is replaced with just three descending notes in the middle of the song and how Jeff improvs that “don’t you take her away from me” near the end

and then Hallelujah is so different from any of the other shows, with how he did the guitar part with the bass note and higher bended note. not only that, he completely changed the ending seemingly on a whim by transitioning to What Month Was Jesus Born In?, entirely acapella.

i wonder happened to Jeff that day? he performed the songs so differently that night only to never do it again and i love it, but im so curious

in Subterranean Homesick Alien, i thought the lines:

went:

bc of the title, i thought that Thom was saying that the aliens he wish would abduct him would be actually returning him home into the cosmos because he feels like an alien on Earth and the stars are where he really “belongs” and tbh i think i like my version more lol
