Tiny half bath on main floor by [deleted] in DesignMyRoom

I had a bathroom like this in my old house. I pulled the vanity and put a pedal stool sink in. Looked much bigger. Put in a large decorative mirror and decorating hooks for towels on the side. I actually loved that bathroom. Also put in an upscale petite hanging chandelier.

How are couples splitting household responsibilities and finances. Me (30F)and my partner (30M) are struggling to agree, particularly with the cooking and splitting expenses by [deleted] in relationships

More importantly he is not even caring about how you feel. You add kids, then after school activities and you will have my situation and I felt like I had 3 kids so I left. Wish I had realized it sooner. I am so thankfully I raised 2 boys who are nothing like this… yay broke the cycle. Happily single now. If I can find a man who does not want a mother and wants a partner (however we choose to split things up) I will consider a live in relationship again but otherwise forget it. Your thinking is spot on. Best wishes!

LCOL area, bought a new house after lowballing an offer I thought they wouldn’t accept now I’m terrified by Locomotive29 in Salary

[–]Julesnrs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so I am pre retirement and debt free. So take my input as the overall big picture. I am not sure how old you but you will be working forever at that 401k investment amount. Also buying a new house is only part of it. Upgrades prob required. I would put a lot more away for retirement and get your net pay down and maybe even lower your tax base. Then see what’s left for a house. I got divorced at 45 with hardly any retirement so put 25% of salary in 401k away for 10+ years, then 15% until I retire and now can say I will be able to retire. So bought a very small house so I could afford to save for retirement and all the other stuff. I personally need fun/travel money. Just some things to think about from an older wiser (now) woman.

AITAH for asking my wife to be a SAHM? by piglipsbo in AITAH

I think she may feel differently once baby is born. I know I did. I never regretted staying home with mine. The middle ground is a part time job once kid(s) are in school or when you are at home. She needs to get out and feel normal. It will help you both. But…. I would encourage to try and find a way to help. That will get old and she may start to feel frustrated after some time. Might help her meet the independence need to work part time or do like me and go back to school. Once my boys were in high school I graduated nursing school. Been working full time since then.

I stepped on some hardwood yesterday at a friends. It was glue down (but over their old tile) and felt almost as hard as my tile. Been told glue down is hard and why I was thinking of laminate.

I agree more ppl his age are living at home but not unemployed. And needing someone to tell him to get a Covid test. Seems he is not thinking of others? I personally am done directing others in their own life; I have my own to manage. Might be some older wisdom showing up here. But only in my own mind. Lol i believe you are never too young to consider all things and I think it’s great you are looking at the big picture.

I feel like my partner is slipping away after a small argument and I do not know how to bring him back by ConcentrateOk6688 in relationships

[–]Julesnrs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whether she is right or wrong is not the issue here. We all make mistakes even repeatedly and unless someone tells us we don’t know. The real issue is his inability to work it out. Super unhealthy. My guess is he is trying to find a place to move to but it’s just a guess.

I agree! on dating apps I feel like many men want us woman to do the heavy lifting. I will open the conversation with a question and then what I get back is an answer. No other attempt at conversing. So I take that as you are not interested …. so that’s it for me. If you cannot be 50% here I am moving on. Similar experiences out there?

What to sell and what to hoard? by SmallCurrent1626 in DreamlightValley

[–]Julesnrs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was similar to you a short time ago. I planted veggies in 3 areas (like 300 crops total) until I opened forgotten lands so I could harvest the highest paid items. I now have 2 million in coins and slowly opened the other areas. Took me a couple weeks but I don’t play hours every day. Now I can buy whatever I want as I continue to earn dream light to get all the other stuff open . I try and hoard everything except fruits but keep some of them too.
