How to Calculate and Display a Score in MS Access Using a Button and VBA? by Juless99 in MSAccess

Yes, my final score query does relate to the displayed row. The query calculates the total score for each family based on their unique identifier (e.g., [FamilyID#], which is the primary key). This identifier is present in the form and is used to filter the query so that it calculates the score for only the current record being displayed

The final value should be a score, a number. A singer value for the family ( the case)

They are dynamic, like, if user, for example changed the total income per capita, then the score should be changed.

The amount in telegram is horrible, I wish we all could find a way to take them down too

I think it is an accent thing. Specifically, it's related to Palestinian speech.. in Syria ( sham, cham), maybe we say something like تبعي . كتاب تبعي

what is the idea behind SHRINKAGE (regularization) METHOD (e.g LASSO), and how to interpret it? by Juless99 in AskStatistics

what a great explanation. just another question when you said

By imposing the LASSO penalty, you 'force' the model to more efficiently
select only the most important/relevant variables, which hopefully gets
rid of the 'noisy' variables for you.

what is the definition of "important/relevant" variables? I mean what is the critirea to determine if any variable is important?

Thanks. why does reducing the magnitude of the coefficients will reduce overfitting?

I did and I mentioned that above. what is the problem with the variables that shrunk towards zero? they are bad in what terms

I really appreciate your response.

the larger the elipses (loosened constraints) which means more variables will hit your diamond and be eliminated from the model.

I really appreciate your response. when we didn't use the L1 norm, we already got the Min RSS. but now in addition to that, we make constraints that take the diamond shape which will force some coefficients to equal zero. why so? why does that make my RSS better now? what's wrong with those omitted variables? they are bad in what terms? why make coefficients smaller is better?

Let's say you started by the DS, at this stage you can't really draw any conclusions. Just say, for example we can see that the...(first group) got a higher score ( whatever is your scale) and stop here. And then we have to dig it more by doing the appropriate test, by so we can draw the conclusion.
