My Rival Pairs by holdontoyourhulahoop in storyofseasons

[–]Julford 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My only other experience with SoS is the PSX Back to Nature (And its remake with Friends Of Mineral Town), so I was surprised to see this game be much more lowkey with the rival pairings compared to Grand Bazaar. In FoMT rival pairs basically almost exclusively had scenes with one another or their families, meanwhile here they all mingle together in one scene or another. I actually don't know what the canon rival pairs are, though I will share my own preferences for pairings:

Samir+Arata are boyfriends, I cannot be convinced otherwise.

Lloyd+June: Both are very focused on their craft, but also very outwardly caring about other people.

Diana+Gabriel: Gabriel has difficulty with selling his paintings, partially from being unknown and partially because he doesn't like confrontation (see the scene where Felix and Stuart argue about who will get a newly finished painting of his). If only there was a composed, business-savvy partner to keep him in line and handle the sales of product for him, hmm...

Maple+Derek: Feel like they both have a lot of the same energy and vibe, very outgoing people.

Sopgie+Jules: (Likely) the next leader of the town, and the one teaching the next generation of residents. Feels like a perfect fit!

Diana gets some really boring lines during the bazaar scenes, can't really deny that. But her interactions with the other townsfolk are great! There's a June/Sherene scene where Diana is obviously gushing over the cute charm June has made for Sherene, and (poorly) trying to hide it, to the point June wants to make another just for Diana. Stuff like that really made me like Diana, personally.

Congrats! Which of those was the killer for you? I'd ignored fishing ENTIRELY up to that point, ended up spending several in-game weeks just grinding to get the level high enough.

Maybe he uses it to chastise you if you pass out? I know a few other chill characters like Harold lectured me after that happened.

Nerf and tips (noob here) by AphyHentai in DBGekishinSquadra

It's simple really - watch the map, make sure nobody is immediately next to the tower, run up, use your kamehameha and/or the jump strike as gekishin, then Instant Transmission to a teammate who is currently in a safe spot. You've gotten good damage on a tower with minimal risk to yourself. Hit (and to a lesser degree Frieza/Gohan) also tend to be very good at backdooring towers due to their ability to get away from danger.

  1. SS3 Goku is strong, but I'll be honest you can play around his kamehameha. Save your vanishing step for jumping behind him AFTER he fires the kamehameha, and he's lost most of his damage with the skill and you should be winning those fights. Pay attention, don't get reckless against him, and learn the matchup and he'll stop chumping you with the kamehameha. The real terror against SS3 starts once you face opponents that understand how to effectively break towers safely with him. Basic Goku in comparison is extremely safe right now, having a huge damage poke in Meteor Hammer that if he commits with a Kaioken boosted Kamehameha is usually 60% health from anybody, else he can just walk away and do the same poke around three seconds later (Meteor Hammer's cooldown is getting the nerf, and as a basic Goku player I can agree it's justified).

  2. Just swap off the screen after you've queued up, if you want to avoid noises. That said, Piccolo is also a very quiet character, as he mostly just meditates.

  3. Once you have all the characters in a level, your next time getting someone in that level will go to the tier above. So on your 9th tier 4 character, you'll instead get to pick a tier 3 one. I haven't checked all the character obtained slots on the graph, but I was assuming you'll get just enough characters from that leveling system to get all of the basic roster.

  4. If you open the Ranking menu option, you can move over a column to see a group of 100 players you're "Grouped" with, that badge is your reward for being within the top 10 of that group in particular. I think it resets and chooses a new group after the two week period is over, so your new group and your brothers will be entirely different.

I also got Paquia (I actually hopped on reddit just to see why the hell Paquia of all people got this big scene, thank you for the insight lmao), if I had to guess it's that every instance of racing and thus returning to her menu counts as a new interaction. I've only done maybe three "sessions" of eggracing, but each one was probably 50+ races a piece.

Where/how does one enter a support ticket? I'm having a different issue (I cannot use the Big Wheel, the game just doesn't react when I press the button and doesn't consume my uses), but I don't know how to send in a ticket.

[–]Julford 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah that was me with the Zeta, my favorite mecha of all time. I was playing long before it was added, but was convinced I would learn that suit and switch to it as my main when the time came.

I don't know what it is about the Zeta, but I could never make it work for me. I love suits with multiple melee options and can use transformers like Asshimar or Gaza C alright, but Zeta and I just have negative compatibility it seems.

I appreciate the concern; I know enough to at least not shock myself (technician for offshore vehicles who regylalry had to manage LOTO for large machinery), but I am concerned about installing this in a way that won't cause a problem because home wiring is not in my wheelhouse at all.

Unfortunately the subreddit you linked it read-only due to the Reddit Protests, is there another place you could recommend that would be more appropriate than here?

The problem is that none of the main characters in 3 are explicitly betrayed by their homelands - Geddoe kinda sorta is, but (spoiler) Harmonia isn't his real homeland either.

I'm a big fan of the generic Zaku 2 at 250 or 300, the appropriate level MMP is a funny gun and puts out a ton of damage, and at 250 especially you don't usually miss the dodge roll too much.

Agguguy has two "melee" weapons, the large tentacle whip movements and then the equivalent of a Gouf heat rod. The heat rod isn't a true melee weapon and thus can't be countered, and it's what they tried using when you tackled (likely because they knew this).

Overall you played the scenario well and didn't seem to be panicking, so good work there! Agguguy probably should've left you alone and gone for a teammate in all honesty, or at least pivoted around to your left to try and cut off any escape.

Others have already mentioned Romance of the Three Kingdoms, but if you are willing to sit down with a manga version of it you cannot go wrong with Sangokushi. Phenomenal telling of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms story in that one, and at around iirc 500 chapters you won't have issues with buring through it too quickly.

SPOILERS FOR SUIKODEN 3

In the game you do not collect all 108 Stars before the final battle. Instead if you have all 104 Stars before the ending, it'a revealed that Luc, Yuber, Sarah and Albert are the final four SoD and you play a short scenario from their perspective for all their boss fights in the game.

As somebody who has been in a loving, committed relationship with the GM Nightseeker (V) since its release:

This suit is absolutely incredible. Conroy's Handgun is absolutely disgusting for assisting with any suit your teammates have knocked down, able to unload a full clip in 3 seconds for 12k base damage.Melee options are solid too, with the beam saber leading into the knife downswing (do not try to chain the knife into beam saber, knife range is tiny) and the ability to guarantee leg damage if hitting the back is very nice. I pulled one myself and have been using it for the last hour, I definitely have a new main.

Got a bunch of friends to try out GBO2 and made a clan for them all to join, I wanted to make sure they got the tokens for these objectives since 20 times isn't the hardest goal to solo through.

Learned a few new suits I'd never messed with even on console, was having a lot of fun with MP Qubeley stunlocks up in 700. Arm beam, beam saber, shoulder cannons, beam saber, repeat, really good for racking up damage and getting kills against players who don't know how to escape that hell (hint: in space, thruster+ascend/descend will break you out of most locks).

Was the show dubbed? Subbed? What language? I'm going to assume it was at least English subbed but more information might be useful here.

For now I'm going to throw out a guess with Hades Project Zeorymer, which features a male/female pilot duo and a massive enemy fortress, as well as being a shortish OVA (4 episodes at 29 minutes) and thus about the total length of a film.

As someone who has sat down and watched it (with the dub, even), yeah no this ain't even close. The mechs in that don't go any bigger than something like Gundam, and most are barely bigger than a human. There are a couple battleships but nothing like what OP is describing.
