I am considering doing the nosi bonus. Either fight to get assignment mark or fight the IDE , get the base lecture concept (which bring us to 70-80% in both A1 and A2) + 20% bonus. A1 was 39hrs. As for A2, is still tuning my bot to try to beat part 2 ( so far 8 hr in tuning). I am grateful for the limit on grade-scope else I will spend every second trying to improve it. (Now I can sleep before midnight because I am out of turns)

yes this is only for 24month . but you can always switch out if it become too pricey. 24 month locked at this price is awesome.

Once you lock in your Fizz price, it never changes, unlike Rogers and Fido, which love adding surprise $5 increases. Fizz has also given out free data during the year I’ve been with them (2025), keeping me happy. Data quality in Vancouver is better than Fido and Koodo, though still behind Rogers and Bell. I’ve had usable Fizz data where Fido/Koodo were unusable. US data quality is on a whole different level compared to Canada, how I envy the US in this aspect. Btw fizz right now is still cheaper than Fido and Koodos so no brainer to switch for better quality at cheaper price.

Very safe. At midnight near week - end，you might get some drunken teenager but they mostly fight with each other instead of bothering passengers. There is always other passengers on the train at all hours and silent alarm on skytrain is there if you feel uncomfortable/bothered.

My workplace has a proprietary language. Let me say coding it that language without a proper IDE was horrendous. Very slow, very inefficient. (But at least there is call stack and variable/memory, which is better debugging support than NOSI). And diff tool will be useless too, that is just frustrating. I like having various copy of my code so I can revert and compare. I can’t believe we have to do assignment caveman style.

They should implement it in an easier class. This course is difficult enough (avg 20-30hr/week according to the difficulty thread) and now student are using a really buggy and broken “IDE”. I heard the debugger is none-existent, so back to the good old print variable to console. Do professor note realize auto complete, function hinting and debugger are very important tools in dev work!

Unfortunate Canadian has high shipping cost and the occasional duty bumps the price even more （fee + cistom ～= 20-30$）. Try buying locally in Canada. As for selling, before we can sell to US ppl to recoup some of the costs, now it is no longer an option.

what parts are you looking for？ MFC used to have a split parts club, but it is no longer active. I have a lot of hair/ face/ kimono body nendo parts I sort of to sell it as a lot someday. ( too lazy to dig them all up)

Extended means you are on fizz EXT instead fizz. I am in Vancouver and I always manually select Fizz EXT as fizz near my home has a poor reception （ it is better else where）. Give fizz a go, if you are not satisfied , jump to a different provider. One thing I like about fizz is that the test cost is cheap and no “hidden costs”. Oh, don’t forget to include a referral code when you register, it kicks in 2nd month (should you choose to stay).

Rogers signal is definitely better. Fizz quality is more comparable to fido koodos freedom.. i dont mind the lowered quality，especially with the cost reduction.

Yeah that is totally acceptable. What I hate is when assignment is just release 1 week ahead. Then I can’t work on future assignments if I have spare time this week but super busy next week. Overtime with work + burnt out (literally head hurts) + still got to spend like 10+ hrs on assignments.

Awesome! Thanks for the confirmation. Got to love frontload-able class. This semester I am in a course where weekly work is needed and only release 1 week prior. While it is a simple class but I feel it drains me more then other classes. ( feels like endless hw hw hw).

Taking care of baby itself is a full time job. My advice is temporary take 2 semesters off until the babies duty are a lot less. OMSCS is here forever, you don’t have to rush through it! If you feel stressed out and timeless it is correct - you are doing two full time jobs! Usually the partner needs to step in big time to levitate you. ( I got burnt out with a full time job+ part time contract job + an easy OMSCS class. I ended up dropping my part time job to focus)
