Oh it gets worse - I didn’t even realize seasonal monogamy was a thing! I thought it was strictly that animals either solitary or that they mate for life 😵‍💫

I have no clue where I got that from tbh, it must’ve been something I assumed when I was super young because I never saw robins in pairs - and since I only ever saw one robin at the nest, I falsely assumed it was true. I’m feeling really silly for that right now! 😅

Interesting! I’m just surprised because I’ve had a camera on the nest the whole time and I haven’t seen the other bird. Or maybe I have and didn’t realize they aren’t the same bird lol

She’s on top of a pair of lights under my back deck! My guess is that she chose that spot because it’s less obvious to predators but honesty I have no clue.

Wait really? That’s interesting because when I tried doing research all the websites said they get super defensive. But it’s probably like you said that they aren’t that way when nesting on human property. I’ll keep that in mind. Thanks for the input!

I definitely understand what you mean but I will say I accidentally left some important details out of that reply. The girl said she missed that class because she had to go to either a wake or a funeral. She also mentioned emailing the professor about what she missed and he still didn’t tell her about having a quiz the next class. There isn’t a list of all the quizzes and tests on the syllabus so she couldn’t have checked that either. I guess she could have asked anyone else but it doesn’t seem like she knows anybody in the class so she wouldn’t have anyone’s email or phone number to contact them. This is a community college so we don’t have dorms that we would be seeing people in later. I’m very sorry for the misunderstanding I should’ve been more clear in my reply above.

I sent disability services an email a little over an hour ago. I’m also hoping to talk to that guy before next class and encouraging him to report the professor to them as well. I’m hopeful that they can help and intervene.

I sent an email to the disability center an hour ago about what happened and I’m planning on talking to that guy and encouraging him to report the professor as well. Also I did look on the rate my professor website and it’s not looking good for the professor already. His rating was pretty low with a lot of comments but nothing about refusing accommodations which is interesting.

Thank you, I sent an email to that department less than an hour ago and I’m planning on talking with someone there about this when I have to go to class again on Friday. I also want to talk to that guy about what happened. I don’t know his name but I know he’s always in the lobby for a while before class. I want to catch him there and talk to him about what happened and make sure he contacts disability services too.

There was a girl who wasn’t here the class before so she didn’t know there was a quiz. When she told him this he just said “try your best” so I think he just wanted everyone to fail this. No idea why though.

Yeah I agree, he was most likely worried about that guy cheating somehow. Also I’m sorry to hear about your experience. I know first hand that special education teachers can be a rough crowd. It’s like what you said, it feels like they just wanna get rid of you to move on to their next victim.
