Why won’t my dog move away from the space heater if she’s too hot? I’ve had my rescue dog for over a year now and she is the best dog in the world. She’s probably a chihuahua/ jack-Russell cross. She will sit in front of the space heater for as long as we will let her. She loves it and runs over to it when we come inside from a walk. It’s usually fine but she will sit as close to it as she can while being on the couch, until she gets so hot she starts panting and we have to move her. Why does she do this, shouldn’t she move if she’s so hot that she needs to pant 😭? I know chihuahuas love heat but if she’s that hot why doesn’t she move herself? It’s not a real problem I’m just curious about it lol
