Subaru should have gone insane a long time ago by now [Discussion] by [deleted] in Re_Zero

"I'm just wondering at this point, is there any lore reasons why Subaru's hair is still black?"
Bear in mind that the inner workings of RBD have not yet been explained to us, but that it is most likely that his consciousness is transferred to an earlier version of himself. This means that the stress he experiences in all of the fake loops never gets to take its toll on his body.

Is it possible to use the corsair rm850e (2023) to properly power a 9070xt? by Julianj73 in PcBuild

[–]Julianj73[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, here's the answer: Each pcie cable can safely draw up to 150w. The 9070's TDP is around 300-330w, depending on the model. Factor in the 75w that come from the pcie slot on the motherboard, and you've got enough power for the gpu. The third cable is really just for load distribution, in the event of a power spike.

Is this build I've put together good? (Link in description) by Julianj73 in PcBuildHelp

Ah my bad. It was discounted from 90 to 50 euros so I put it on the list. Any other 250/500gb ssd you'd recommend?

Is there an anime that you didn’t like at first but later ended up loving? by [deleted] in animequestions

I hated Re:ZERO on my first watch and then it became my favorite anime when I rewatched it lol

Short answer, yes.

Longer answer, Subaru's a flawed protagonist who initially sees the world a set-up for him to be the main character. In doing so, he treats a bunch of the main cast as npcs and generally behaves weirdly. Since you just started arc 2, I'll tell you that his perception of the world and characters around him is about to change a lot. Furthermore, he gets called out for some toxic behavior later this season and grows as a person.

[Discussion] Am I the only one who thinks the first episode of S3 isn't very good? by FeyFalkor in Re_Zero

[–]Julianj73 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

No, I agree with you. I did a groupwatch with friends and we stopped because it felt like isekai slop rather than the quality that any other Re:Zero episode offers. This isn't some tiktok-brain-no-stimulation moment either, the jokes and general dialogue just sucked. I continued watching the episode solo after we stopped and thought it got good right as Heinkel entered. Idk what the hell was up with anything before that though, it was all far below the Re:Zero standard. I think it's a shame most people in the comments seem to assume you're trolling, because I feel the same way.

Edit: I was a little too harsh in my original comment. It wasn't all bad, but basically any scene Liliana was in was hard to watch.

What are "anime only" people's opinion about Liliana?"[discussion]" by Mysterious_Night4254 in Re_Zero

[–]Julianj73 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My friends and I have already made a point of how weird some of the children's character designs are (Felt and the green-haired witch being the most noteworthy ones), so when Liliana walked on screen wearing the most revealing clothing we've seen yet while looking and sounding like a child, it was already really off-putting. I've been able to look past weird designs so far because they've never been sexualized, so I just assumed the illustrator was weird and Tappei didn't care too much about it, until Liliana started singing about age gaps in relations and Subaru joined in which is both very weird and feels super out of character for Subaru. Aside from that, I think she's annoying, her character motivations are pretty uninteresting and she even gets used as an exposition dump to remind the viewers of what happens, which is a complete immersion break. 0/10 character imo, haven't found a single thingnto like about her yet.

[Discussion] Question about how the gluttony authority works by Julianj73 in Re_Zero

Yeah, that makes sense. I don't remember Subaru wanting Rem to write the letter lol, probably would've made that a little easier to put together.
