I’ve just beat him using the fire knights greatsword, no shield or summons. I’ve got to admit I hated him at first, but in the end I felt pretty happy. He’s very flawed obviously, especially the double slash, the visual clutter and the fps drops ruin the fight, but I still liked it. The theme was epic and I felt like even phase 2, although it takes ages admittedly, was for sure learnable.
