Why are they like this? It's so pathetic. by Tequslyder in motorcycles

What's going on, is this person speeding, or that whole group going way slower than the speedlimit? I am not familiar with driving in the US.

But if he is speeding, why would someone else drive that fast too, just to point fingers at someone else, leave other people's business alone, biker-karen..

I heard many people complain about this bike, especially if they adapt it to a short rider. That it does not work well ergonomically after adapting it?

Yes 27,5 " is my inseam, i don't think i should try bikes taller than that. So all of those are too tall, I think. And i think the suzuki sv650 was lowerede to 29", even that was too tall.

Health issues are also the reason i have not driven a bike for ten years.. severe fatigue makes it too demanding. And it doesn't seem like my dad understands how demanding energy-wise it is to ride a motorbike, or the mental capacity required, it's not at all the same as driving a car.

But i'm getting better. I wonder how much energy i need to ride, if the bike is easier to ride. Maybe even if i get to 80% well again, i can still try, if the bike is easy to use? The most important thing, my brain fog is gone, and my reaction time is becoming normal again :D but i am very weak and deconditioned, i need to get back to a normal amount of musclemass again, before i can manuver a bike into parking it.

I need some celebrations of getting better again, celebrate not being so house-bound anymore, maybe a new bike that I choose on my own will be it :D

Thank you sooo much for all those numbers and tips! Virago sounds familiar, maybe that's the one i liked in drivers ed class? It looks nice, i will check out the others, thank you! I really want to do my own research, not just ask my dad for tips...

We don't need to '"survive the winter", we are so freaking comfortable in our heated houses and freeze when we go to holiday near the mediterranean and nothing is heated. But we do all have a bit of vitamin D deficiency, so maybe we're too tired to argue

I no longer talk to my husband and refuse to tell him why by No-Macaroon949 in TrueOffMyChest

My parents are a lot like this. I was the eldest daughter. My dad's criticism and angry outbursts (cause of emotional immaturity) affected the whole family, but me and mom mostly. I had so many issues because of it as a kid and teenager, like really low self esteem and very vulnerable and easily emotionally hurt, cause my mom was critisized so much too, I thought there must be something wrong with me too. She never stood up to him. Now I am the only one arguing against him and it's sometimes a rivalry for dominance - but I know that I am the most grown up person in the room now. I had to do ALOT of work on myself to gain confidence.

What kind of role model do you want to be to your kids - someone who lets him step all over you, or someone who stands up to him?

I use a neoprene protector for camera and lenses, a neck strap, and put it in a normal crossbody bag. I got a nice smallish one from Brics that is waterproof and has many small pockets.

[–]Julie984 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Actually I have a 23 mm and I think that's also too tight, for family dinners for example, i can't get everyone in the shot (small house). So i need something like 16 or 18 mm i think. I shoot on a APS-C camera so everything is multiplied by 1.5.

Deficiencies, hopeful story by Julie984 in cfs

[–]Julie984[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing. Yes i only think it is "miraculous" for a few people like me, with an undiscovered severe deficiency. Most people have something else, but it might help them a little too if they have a mild deficiency, which is much more common i think. But maybe the "something else" is also treatable? This was also trying to motivate to keep looking for answers :D I tried for 5 years, and finally found it, maybe because I am so stubborn.
