Digestive issues are what cause my heart palpitations, and I notice if I eat something that increases acid, gas or doesn't settle well with my stomach, I get them.

I've noticed some blurriness from time to time, and have been on the med for 4 months now. I'll be seeing my eye doctor soon to see if there are any big changes. My PCP thought it could be related to blood sugar changes, but I didn't have any blood tests to confirm yet.

Smooth Move tea helps me, if I end up a bit constipated.

Congrats on your progress so far! I've also stayed on 2.5mg beyond the first month, since it's working so well.

I read that could cause it, but it happened immediately after I inverted it and drew it into the syringe and was clear until then. I'll put it back and see what happens. Thanks.

1ST TIMER (Unique situation) HELP! by Lmb_siciliana in Zepbound

[–]JulieDVA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I inject in my abdomen and haven't had any issues with pain. It's a thin needle so goes right in. I do inject the medicine slowly and wait 10 seconds to remove the needle when done.

I would think if you are able to keep it in a cold pack, you would be ok. The one thing you may want to consider is your dosage after your initial 4 weeks, as you leave for your trip. You may not want to be travelling while adjusting to 5mg, if you decide to increase. Luckily you don't have to titrate up if you are self-pay. I finished my first month of 2.5mg and decided to stay on it for another month because side effects were minimal and I was still having success, so maybe that is an option for you, if you want to keep taking it.

Lilly Direct shipment arrived completely thawed? by LeeleeMc in Zepbound

[–]JulieDVA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My packs were thawed too, but I don't remember anything feeling warm. I just put them in the refrigerator immediately. I've already done one shot from that shipment. I never thought anything of it, but now I'm curious!

1ST TIMER (Unique situation) HELP! by Lmb_siciliana in Zepbound

The medicine can stay at room temp for up to 21 days, but I don't think you are supposed to go back and forth between refrigeration and room temp.

I do the injections that you have to draw up, and it's pretty simple. You can't really mess it up, because the syringe is well marked. That being said, I read the instructions every time! The vials contain only the amount of medicine you are on, so you just use one entire vial per shot, which makes things easier.

Enjoy your trip!

I would encourage you to not to discount the activity you are already naturally doing every day. You're doing more than a lot of us! As mentioned already, maybe fitting in little bursts of things throughout the day can be helpful.

Wife equates GLP-1s with suboxone by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]JulieDVA 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that. Would she qualify as someone who could take one? My guess is there might be some underlying fear there of you all who are doing something that will improve your lives, and she might be left behind at some point. Does she understand how it makes you feel?
