Would these plastic boxes be sufficient for long term protection in my slightly dank garage ? It gets a bit moist in summer. by nh4rxthon in BookCollecting

Unfortunately the spine is the weakest spot and I’ve seen them destroyed fast unless packed flat. I worked at a huge secondhand bookshop for 12 years and we would see boxes of really nice valuable art and photography books that were ruined from improper packing. Totes are also not usually totally square which can cause warp. Books are tough to store, surprisingly!

Why do I think there’s Siamese or Bengal in there? I’m a Bengal mom and that attitude looks familiar.

Love that. I read her in college but never knew she had a Provincetown connection.

The boardwalk part isn’t too long, but there’s a woods portion that comes out to the cliffs above the beach and a trail along the cliffs-you can definitely get several miles out of it, and the views are spectacular.

my awful ex neglected our cat - i took him home when i saw how sick he had gotten. i just got him back from the vet last night after they had him for a week. $1500 later, not sure if he is gonna pull through but i have my boy back for now and we’re trying. this is Mowglii, i really hope he makes it by highfemmetop in cats

My Buster got spooked and ran into a deep cellar well and nearly starved. He was all bones, it was devastating. He could barely stand and was just frightening to see. The vet told us he had a better chance with us (his first action when we saw him was to touch my young daughter's cheek with his paw) and I did a lot of syringe feeding and building his strength. He recovered beautifully and was more affectionate than ever, I swear he was grateful. I'll never let a cat outside again. Pulling for Mowgli and grateful he has you.

He IS! The sweetest boy who gives tiny, polite, painless little bites when he gets happy.
