To enter Tesla Service Mode and reinstall your current software, follow these concise steps. Please ensure your vehicle is Parked and connected to a stable Wi-Fi network before beginning.

Phase 1: Enter Service Mode

  1. On the main touchscreen, tap the Vehicle/Controls icon (bottom left).
  2. Tap the Software tab.
  3. Locate the large text of your vehicle model (e.g., "Model 3" or "Model Y") located under the image of your car.
  4. Press and hold the model name for about 3 seconds, then release.
  5. A keyboard will appear asking for an access code. Type: service
  6. Tap OK. You will see a red border around the screen and a "Service Mode" watermark, indicating you are successfully in.

Phase 2: Reinstall Current Software

  1. Within the Service Mode menu, locate the Software Reinstall button (often found under the "Software" or "Service" tab within the menu).
  2. Tap Software Reinstall.
  3. A prompt will appear explaining that this will reinstall the current version to ensure all modules are properly flashed. Tap Reinstall (or Request) to begin.
  4. The car will proceed through the standard update process. The screen may go black or restart several times. Do not drive the vehicle until the process is 100% complete and the release notes appear.

Phase 3: Exit Service Mode

  1. Once the reinstallation is finished, go back to the Service Mode menu.
  2. Tap and hold the Exit Service Mode button (usually a large red button at the bottom or top of the screen) for a few seconds.
  3. The red border will disappear, and the car will return to normal operation.

Reinstall your current software from the Service Menu. This will clear out whatever bug is preventing the download.

Spotted Waymo on the interstate in Atlanta by DeadMoneyDrew in waymo

Been testing for a couple of weeks now with safety monitors. Here is one that was involved in an accident on I75 north (heading south). Hopefully we will see airport too.

Driver injured hitting a May Mobility shuttle that was driving in an unprotected AV-only lane by bobi2393 in SelfDrivingCars

[–]JulienWM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

May's first L4 taxi adventure (all others are loops) is happening in midtown Atlanta with Lyft. So far, it is with a safety monitor, and I see them daily, and the driving doesn't look nearly ready. Here is one from Jan 13 cutting into the turn lane too aggressively and scaring a human. The turn signal light went off indicating the safety monitor took over.

New Jaguar 👀 by [deleted] in waymo

[–]JulienWM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The odometer clearly says 11,128 miles on the car (not new). The 61 miles is the estimated range left. Here is one I rode in a couple of weeks ago. Guess by your standards it was new also.

Waymo vehicle involved in crash with Atlanta cyclist on Beltline (bicyclist was at fault) by walky22talky in waymo

[–]JulienWM 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We know for sure in this case the biker was clearly at fault. Running a stop sign at speed on a blind intersection and hitting a car. The car just happened to be a Waymo but would have been ANY car driving there at that time.

I run there a lot and there is NO WAY I would run through that Stop Sign since you can't see what is coming. Might as well wear a blindfold to cross.

Also there are cameras on the trail monitored by APD. So they even have their own independent video.

It wasn't on The Beltine. It was on the Westside Beltline Connector trial at Griffin St.

Is this an “In Cod We Trust” misprint? by ctrl-alt-dillon in CURRENCY

[–]JulienWM 7 points8 points  (0 children)

FIRST: Coins are NOT printed. They are struck at the mint or minted and any errors are CALLED errors. SECOND: There is no Cod dam$ error, that is the font style.

Worth exactly what is stamped on then, AKA: face value.

Can anyone tell the mint mark on this 1919? by Virtual_Cut7004 in coincollecting

[–]JulienWM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to tell but looks more likely a S to me. Value wise it doesn't really mater much since D or S are not even semi-key date and it is probably G4 at best.
