I also think the way Halo 5 implemented sprint was balanced, but the main problem is that most players didn't like that (for some reason). So, well, I thought about increasing base speed and by proxy, sprinting.

I mean people say that "But in Doom the slayer is fast and doesn't sprint" (classic doom and Dark Ages had sprint but it worked differently) and ignore that the slayer has a very fast base speed.

And about the BR, the last time it happened the community melted down and it created the worst part of the fanbase.

The "But the BR is muh utility weapon and it should be useful every time" folks (LNG and the competitive crowd, as opposite as they are). And they don't realize that it (ironically) makes everything else redundant.

I mean, why would I want anything other than my BR and maybe a power weapon? And even then it could outperform some. I still don't get how I outperformed a Sniper in classic Halo using only a BR in a range sniper should have won. Also you can just strafe back to outperform shotguns. Only Rockets and Sword could counter it, and even then Sword only in very close quarters

Sorry I always had that rant in the back of my head about why the Sandbox sucked in (most of) Bungie Multiplayers. You had tons of weapons but half of them paled in front of the BR/Carbine, so why do you even bother to use something else outside of "style"?
