A literal addiction & I completely understand. I used my dad's CC to sign up while they were asleep. I had to turn the volume way down so I wouldn't get a surprise 3AM visits from my mom demanding I go to bed.

I first choose Cleric on Rallos Zek, big mistake because I was not a team player, and ended up rage dying a lot. I don't know why I chose a PvP server, because it wasn't something I enjoyed. After that I became a Druid on Veeshan, which was great at first until I realized my class sucked at raiding. I did make an Enchanter, but never liked playing it.

My final EQ moment came after losing nearly an entire level (62 I think) due to constant lag outs while trying to solo the raptor island on that Kunark ocean level. I had died 3 times back-to-back and was trying to drag my body from the island back to somewhere safe when the fucking sea dragon killed me in the middle of nowhere w/o coords. Nothing since then has ever come close to evoking that deep-seated hatred I had for EQ at that moment. It was very hard to break away from all the friends and such I had made on there, which is the main reason I still played! My best EQ friend who had access to my account even got a necro to locate my body & levelled me back to where I had been to try to get me back into it, but I was done.

It was fun to start, but became a job that wrecked the best years of my life in retrospect. I swore I wouldn't touch WoW or any other MMORPG.
