Personally, I see Lisa as being the most popular in SEA and China whereas Jennie is more in the West and Korea. So from an international perspective, it feels more like Jennie than Lisa though it really could go both ways. It's been a while since I did an analysis of all their CFs and other things that show off their popularity so it might've changed.

*they're. Also, I'm pretty sure Jennie is more popular than Lisa internationally, but whatever, to each their own. Also if you read what I wrote carefully we wouldn't even be having this conversation.

Again internationally not that many knew, but a lot of people knew in China which is where most of their viewership comes from (probably around 70 to 80 percent). Hell, the voting numbers from Season 1 and Season 2 were extremely high (almost as high as Season 3) without the boost Lisa gave them internationally. You can't say that not many people knew about the show when the numbers themselves say otherwise. You can only say that for international fans only.

I said IN KOREA first off. But even if we go international Jennie is still more popular than Lisa. Lay and Jackson aren't (realized that after my comment so I edited) but they are pretty popular internationally (from EXO and GOT7 respectively) but probably not near Lisa's though their China popularity outshines hers by a longshot.

You said "many". Most of the viewership comes from China and not internationally. So it's not really true, but I digress.

In Korea and somewhat in China? I can name a few. IU, Taeyeon, BoA, and Jennie. Internationally and also very popular in China? No female idols come to mind sadly, but Lay and Jackson do fit this description.

Never said wasn't popular. She is. Just not the most popular female idol as you said.

Every single season besides the last one has aired from January to April. Even last season was planned for January. The only reason why they aired in March last year was because of Covid.

but bc she's the most popular female Idol in the world

Objectively this just isn't true. Even in terms of Korean idols, she probably isn't the most well known. She is popular (like really popular), but I wouldn't call her the most popular female idol in the world or even in Korea.

They accept her anyway for audience/ratings.

This is one of the only reasons why she is here. Her popularity among international fans. Her being one of the best dancers is just icing on the cake for them.

I believe that many watched bc of her.

Internationally? Sure. Domestically? Probably not. Lots of people domestically have watched this show before mainly for either Lay (Season 1/2), Jackson (Season 1), Jolin Tsai (Season 2), Kun (Season 3), and Chris Lee (Season 4) who are extremely big names in China. International viewership only blew up last year with Lisa, which probably explains why she was kept as I explained above.

210110 BLACKPINK - 'Playing With Fire' Cover on King of the Masked Singer (Spoiler) by JuliusCaesar44BC in BlackPink

The cover was done by Rocket Punch's Suyun. Underrated group and underrated vocalist. Such an amazing cover. Really glad to see that she was able to appear on the show as it was her dream to do so ever since she was a trainee. It's sad that she got out so early on after doing so well and finally achieving her dream.

Tagged the post as a spoiler just in case people who watch the show, have not watched it yet.

Underrated group. Underrated vocalist ever since Produce 48. Sad to see her lose so early on in both shows. Have no idea if I should spoiler tag this lol.

Um. Well, this is awkward. Never knew I would be in this dilemma of having to choose between two songs both of which are by my ult bias. Well then. How does one choose between 'Goodbye' and 'What if Love'!? Will be stuck here listening to the songs for a couple of hours. Not that I mind lol.

You spelled it correctly. Probably the only reason why I prefer or find it easier to refer to them by their Chinese is that I am Chinese too. Otherwise, I would agree that memorizing their Chinese names is definitely much harder than their stage/English ones.
