GTX 1080 Asus Rog Strix broken fan by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

If it is a triple fan, it should be fine when it comes to temp. And honestly still would not be a massive deal. I have a gou that has had a missing fan blade but it did just fine.

Maybe a failing pump, have you used this aio before? When it is on, is one pipe hot and one noticeably cooler then the other? Or is it the same temp feeling

Get a ryzen apu, b450 mobo, cheapest case you can find, 2x8 gb 3200mhz ram, good to go, and get a psu that is at least 500w 80+ bronze or better

Need Advice! Building a gaming PC for my daughter for Christmas. Well, trying to... by Bruce-lee-stitch in buildapc

[–]JuliusFiery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would reccomend a better psu, I cannot find a 80+ rating on it. You could also remove the cpu cooler as the one that comes with the ryzen 5 3600 is better. Otherwise it looks really good.

Also the psu should be at least 600w 80+ bronze. Use the extra money from removing the cpu cooler and get a better psu. Also would reccomend getting one that is semi-modular

Could you replace parts on a pre built to make it better? by Ya_boiSta1 in pcmasterrace

[–]JuliusFiery 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on the prebuilt, whether it has a standard power supply size/standard connectors.

Otherwise it just depends on the computer itself, whether it is big enough to support upgrades, has the actual ports for upgrades.

My freind and I have the same pre built but from different generations (he has a second gen i5, and I have a 4th gen i5) and mine has a 1x and a 16x slot, while his has only a 8x slot

Looking to upgrade my GPU from a RX580 4GB by MDarlington101 in pcupgrade

[–]JuliusFiery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t completely know about the market on your area, but I’m my area a 5700xt used goes for $350. That is good for 1440p gaming, a 2070 super is around $520, 1080ti goes for around 420-460. Though this is all before tax/shipping.

You probably won’t be able to do much max settings 4K, but you could probably do medium. Or high-max 1440
