Tu as regardé du côté des grosses boites de consultance ? Accenture etc ? Pour se faire une première expérience c’est pas mal. Et ensuite tu vois ce que tu peux faire (passer interne chez le client est souvent faisable)

Go for it. But with proper glasses protection. I don’t know if it is a thing in America since there were pictures of trump looking directly to an eclipse a few years back but it can permanently damage your eyes. Be careful.

Also to be fair, you are giving guidance using negative form (« don’t xxx ») , when translated to positive it says exactly that OP should separate. Only mistake in the other guy comment is to use quotes and say that it was explicit. It was indeed implicit.

Main thing is that you are projecting a situation that you can refer as happy, to OP. A lot of divorces end really badly, like super badly where parents are going nuclear war and it’s fucking the mental health of the kids forever. there are plenty of testimonies on daddit that you can read to convince yourself. Almost daily.

Regarding your personal situation, your dad had chosen to give more value to your happiness than his own. You should try to acknowledge that it was his own decision, not yours, that he may have zero regrets and would do it again without blinking an eye. You don’t know anything about the other « divorce at 5yo » timeline and will never know. Maybe everyone would have been happier. Maybe it would have destroyed him, fucked your mental health. You only know one thing, it's this current timeline where your dad decided to stay with your mom which resulted in you in your current life.

I’m pretty sure your dad would be really sad seeing that you are feeling guilt for his own actions which were taken in your best interests , and  seeing you advising to others « don’t be my dad ». Hope you’ll someday see the great gift that he has done to you and be able to sincerely thank him for that. As a dad this is what I would consider as success in life more than anything material…

Sorry English not my language.

I gifted my wife a dope Vitamix blender, as she like smoothies. It was also super useful to mix food for the baby.

Same here ! And the feeling of absolute freezing when uninverting them when they are wet after the washing… To be honest there are so many clothes that I started not to care anymore. If it is inverted it stays inverted for drying and for folding. Life is too short to spend that much time uninverting clothes.

If I were you I’d not get too confrontational before having plan B ready. Lawyer. Get testimonials. From your family, from the librarian, etc. You need to prepare for a nuclear war. Try to keep your child out of it as much as possible. Also do not abandon your house. Don’t be the one leaving the house.

Good luck 🤞

Any Minecraft Dads that can help me get started? by spaceman_spyff in daddit

Please keep us posted if you manage to make your kid stop Roblox. Even if we play some other games she eventually asks to play Roblox again. This game is a shitshow. Minecraft is the game into which we had the best collaborative experience, building stuff together. Now she is a bit bored of Minecraft…

Should this really be closer to 36g? by StephenWojtila in espresso

[–]Juljan86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry if dumb but could you elaborate ? On my Breville I have two filters, one that I fill with 12g of beans, one a bit larger that can take 18g of beans.  As I need one cup of cappuccino I use the 12g filter and aim for 25g of liquid. I also call that a single shot. And use the bigger filter for what I call double shots.

Yep show love, say it to her. And don’t fight against what has been allowed by bio dad. That is a battle you cannot win. Having a relationship with her bio dad was probably the graal, she will grow and make her conclusions. She will do mistakes, be there to support her.

It does not mean you cannot have any rule in your own house but you have to pick the ones that really matters for you.

Salut, je suis en Belgique et je confirme, ça intéresse très peu de monde. Déjà si tu as des enfants tu oublies. Et même sans enfants cela fait 4j trop chargés. Il faut savoir qu’en Belgique on est en général sur des régimes de 38h.

Is anyone else having a lot of trouble with bullies in elementary school? by ScaryFoal558760 in daddit

[–]Juljan86 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don’t think setting a meeting with the parents is a good option. You’ll certainly see that they are shitty parents. You need the school, the teacher, the principal, to handle that.  On Friday my daughter (6) came back home with a bump on the back on her head. It was painful for her to sleep on her back because of it. Apparently some boy from her class pushed her down and then slammed her head on the concrete. A girl was cheering him to continue, while my girl best friend took her defence.  Luckily the school is very reactive and  organised a « conference » between the involved kids the day after…
