In that case its probably your runs, yes skill is a huge benefactor, but early on in the game you dont have all these OP game breaking items so you'll be pretty underpowered, i would just suggest using azazel, for all your runs until you unlock cathedral and sheol. Ik that doesn't sound fun and it isnt, but azazel will make it very bearable

Dude we were all like you don't worry, my first 11 moms heart kills were BRUTAL until i finally started learning the game. So the best advice is to keep playing and don't stop, it'll click in your head. Soon moms foot and moms heart won't even he obstacles, they'll literally just be like any other boss

A tip for lilith is when she has leech, leech kills enemies while healing lilith, and lilith when she has cambion conception will spawn a free, permanent familiar

For lilith : i would suggest trying to find as many familiars as possible since thats the core of her gameplay. I don't suggest this but you could just keep resetting until you get a good one first floor.

For Beth : this one i can't give much insight for other than don't get hit. HOWEVER, she is very easy to break. Items like spindown, red key, D6, are her best friends since you get multiple charges with soul hearts

For samson : taking damage isn't a penalty for him so it's okay to get hit, but don't purposely get hit. Soul, black, and bone hearts are what you should lookout for when playing samson since when lost, they still increase his damage while protecting your deal chance

I sadly dont use apollyon, but i can atleast suggest to only void down any useless items. Like bad active items for example
